I don't think Solanke suits our style. We'd have been better off putting Ings alongside him in a pairing up top.
Thought Clyne did well until last 15 mins when he , like most of the team, just seemed to run out of steam. Have to say i thought VVD's passing was truly dreadful today in fact it was almost as bad as Evertons. At least it doesn't look like any more injuries picked up after the warm up and Clyne , Ings , Solanke and Klavan got some much needed game time.
Yes definately... You were just as bad tbh... Without Salah and Firmino it showed how ordinary you are.. Our shower should have put 3 past you in the last 10 mins too... 1) Firmino / Mane / Salah mask our useless our midfield are. 2) Ings and Solanke aren’t PL standard let alone LFC standard. 3) Was impressed with Gini as the number 6. Was refreshing to see someone get the ball and not bottle it under an ounce of pressure. 4) Clyne looked sharper than expected. Fair play to him.
It wasn't just Salah & Firmino. Lallana, Oxlade (on bench), Matip, Gomez, TAA (bench too), Robertson, Moreno and Can too
