Klopp provides latest news on Mohamed Salah fitness Liverpool will continue to assess Mohamed Salah's fitness ahead of Saturday's Merseyside derby with Everton, explained Jürgen Klopp. The No.11 had to be substituted seven minutes into the second half of the midweek Champions League victory over Manchester City. Since then, the Reds’ medical department has been working closely with Salah to attempt to bring the Egyptian back into contention ahead of the trip to Goodison Park and the return leg against City. “I don’t think it makes sense to talk here about what we do with the boys in rehab. But, of course, you can imagine we have tried everything to make him available,” said Klopp at his pre-match press conference. “[http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/296729-mohamed-salah-liverpool-fc-injury-latest-updateThere are] still 24 hours to go pretty much, or 23 hours to go until we start. So let’s see what happens.”
Fat Sam: "The approach has to be about us getting better at nullifying their attacking options. That's their main strength and we have to snuff it out - not just Mo Salah." FFS you're at home #ambition
Fat Sam: "I have to say to my players we've got to do to Liverpool, what Liverpool did to Man City because that's the sort of plan I've put together in the past"
Klopp: "Thank god Danny is here and in good shape. I will not say that I can guarantee it but there’s a good chance he could start tomorrow"
Can't wait to see the team we have to put out tomorrow. I can't see Klopp risking too much with the City game on Tuesday.
For once I agree, we’re at home, get in your faces and on the front foot, without leaving acres of grass in behind, hardly complicated.
Oh I can't wait to see the footy on offer from Everton. It's like watching a mole grow. Is that "homophobic false racism claim lad who likes to try injure other players" clown playing what's his name again, ***gate..
Curtis Jones, Rafa camacho and Conor Masterson have all been left out of tonight's u23s match. So they're likely to be on the bench you'd think
I'm just totally meh about this match. I'm hoping tomorrow that the juices start flowing, otherwise I might not even bother to watch the game. Just need to get through it without anymore injuries. I'd give them the win, if they agreed not to kick lumps out of our players. Also would end this unbeaten run we have over them, without actually meaning anything.
He's right though. Attack us and they will lose. A defensive game by our opponents has proven to be the best strategy against us for the last several years consistently.
