Passed away tonight. On sky sports news. Another shocker. RIP.

 

Only 60. I thought he'd be nearer 70. Rip

I worked with a lad who was at the event where it apparently happened - said he was his usual bubbly self he has been at every event he's seen him at - then 2 hours later he's dead! Really sad news at only 60 and someone I used to love watching when I was growing up - RIP

 

I saw him play an exhibition at a WMC back in the 80s .

I think we paid 3 or 4 quid to watch , all hoping to see him get shot down.

He walked in off the street , took off his jacket and hammered all the best local dart players without losing a game.

What we didn't know was he'd been in the pub up the road practising for two hours before he turned up. He played darts with local lads
for free just as a warm up , and told them to wait till the morning before telling anybody he'd been in.
They all said he was a decent bloke , the cockiness was all for the stage.

RIP

 

Not into the darts scene at all but 60 is far too young for anyone to leave this mortal coil. RIP

I thought ,Eric was older he has been around with jocky, reese,Anderson, and of course the greatest Phil for years.
