Anyway it is a pleasure to welcome one of our own back as Sean Dyche brings his team to the Vic. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Watford were denied all three points last weekend after a late Jermaine Defoe goal gave Bournemouth a share of the spoils at Vicarage Road. This Saturday sees them play at home once more as they welcome the visit of in-form Burnley. Sean Dyche’s men have come out the other side of what was a slump that looked set to derail their season, but after 10 points from their last possible 12 they have managed to hold onto the seventh position that they have coveted for so long. Watford are all but a win away from guaranteeing a fourth successive top-flight stint next season but with the form that the Clarets are in right now, they may have to wait at least another week for this to happen. MEMORABLE MEETING Watford’s only Premier League win over Burnley came at Vicarage Road back in February 2017. The Hornets took a 2-0 lead through club captain Troy Deeney and on-loan striker M’Baye Niang as they looked good value for victory that afternoon. Although Ashley Barnes halved the deficit for the Clarets from the spot with 12 minutes remaining, it was not enough to stop the home side earning all three points with the final score being 2-1 to Watford. Did you know? No player has been involved in more Premier League goals for Watford than Richarlison's nine this season, five goals, four assists, despite the Brazilian not scoring or claiming an assist in any of his last 15 matches in the competition. Troy Deeney has scored in all four of his league matches against Burnley at Vicarage Road, his best such 100 per cent home record for the Hornets. The Clarets have already won six PL away matches this season, which is one more than they had in their previous seasons in the competition combined. They last won more, nine, in a single top-flight campaign back in 1965/66. Hopefully we will get the first goal or it might be a long afternoon against a side who are very well organised.
Dyche has got so much out of his squad, he is better than his ginger Moanrihio nick name now. Obviously, this will be viewed as a tight game. At least the clocks have changed here now so I won´t miss the first half like last week. I predict 1-2 with our defensive problems to be exposed again. COYH prove me wrong. Cheers OFH. Nice graphic at the top, proves what stats can show.
I suspect if Dyche sees this he will be sticking the article on the dressing room door and motivating his players even more! http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...repared-to-deal-with-direct-visitors/?ref=rss Mind you Javi himself never says direct.. Personally I'd love to see us cross the ball a lot more!
I see our pet pillock has us down to lose again. What I would like to know is how he is related to Robbie "I hate Watford after they laughed at me" Savage to come up with this endless stream of poor predicted results?
Troy Deeney makes his 329th Hornets appearance in all competitions today, moving him up to equal 17th on the club's all-time list alongside Andy Rankin
Good afternoon all, hope all well. Should be a tight, interesting game perhaps Will post a stream if I find one. 4 years ago I was volunteering at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games just after my retirement, doesn't seem that long ago really.
