Well.........you're right, I was absolutely chuffed to stuff ****ing Norwich. When me and the lad were walking back to the car, I couldn't help grinning at their fans as we walked by. I just ****ing hate them! Anyway, I thought we played well yesterday, although I was less than pleased to see us start with Matt Smith as a lone striker, at home against (****ing) Norwich. It was quite hard to work out the formation, but I reckon it was supposed to be something like 4-4-1-1, with Eze behind Smith, although Eze was as deep as Scowan a lot of the time in the first half. For the first half hour Norwich were the better side, completely out-playing us through midfield. Eze, Freeman and Manning are not great without the ball and the latter two constantly left Furlong exposed to their nippy left winger. Time after time Norwich were able to exploit huge spaces down our right hand side. They also exploited a lot of spaces through the midfield as Manning, Freeman and Eze left a lot of room for their midfield players to play. However, we did get forward well, with Freeman, Eze and Luongo getting up to support Smith, who had the best game I've seen him play for us. The one two with Luongo for our first was a really neat move and we did move the ball very well at times. Rangers were excellent in the second half and some of the football must have been the best we've played this season I would have thought. Smith did well to get our second, although their keeper really was very poor. The third was lovely, with Smith heading the ball down to Eze who cushioned the ball away from the defender and tucked the ball away with his next touch.........very nice. Manning then made up for his own goal with a lovely diving header from a very good cross from Bidwell, who got forward well during the second half. All in all it seems we have some good young players on the ball, but some of them are not so great without the ball. This means that Ollie (or whoever) needs to find the right system to suit these players. Maybe a 4-2-3-1 with Eze, Freeman and one other behind Smith or a new CF? After he scored Eze's confidence was sky high and he really did look like our next No10 with some lovely skill and runs. I really like this kid!! I thought Onuoha, Lynch, Luongo, Freeman, Scowan, Eze and Smith were outstanding yesterday and I was more than chuffed to have gone along to watch such a promising display. URrrrrrrrrrrrrsssssssssssss!!
Clive's match report ... Four star QPR sweep aside Norwich - Report Wednesday, 4th Apr 2018 08:55 by Clive Whittingham QPR shrugged aside the disappointment of Friday’s defeat at Reading to return to form in fine style with a 4-1 victory against Norwich at Loftus Road on Easter Monday. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/47848
Yes, and he's still only 17. He was fairly ineffective against us at the cottage due to a good performance from Furlong. But from what I've seen of him otherwise he has an exciting future ahead. He can play anywhere down the left, he can tackle has pace and knows where the goal is. He's a bit like a young Gareth Bale if a comparison is needed.
What Oslo means is that the defeat to Norwich contributed to us not winning the title in............ 1976!
so are you trying to say that I hate one of the groups in the pic sad that you try to see things that way I think it says more about you than me !
I was at that game in '76 also went to the Wolves v Liverpool to support the home team, but I don't hate them for it, pi--ed off about how dearly it cost us. I genuinely asked you that question to find out why, I thought I missed something as quite a few fans hate norwich on this site.
It's not just 1976. I hate their pukey kit; their ****ing cardboard clappers; their supposed "lovely family club" and their gobby fans who think they support a famous team. Plus...............1976!!
As someone who lives within 15 miles of Carrow Road, you're right. They think they're Man Utd. Can only be because they are the only decent club in a large catchment area. And they once beat Bayern Munich. I hate them too.
I know what you're saying but technically toothless means exactly that: having 27 shots and not finishing.
