Having to choose between Viking and RH is like the proverbial having to choose between 2 different **** sarnies. Viking is clearly having issues, and is not good enough. RH were able to broadcast without any issues but the commentary was embarrassingly bad. I've listed to plenty of other radio stations who do not feel need to talk utter ****e for 80 mins, between the action, so I don't get why that's used as a defence. Burns is a good local radio DJ. He's not a football commentator, so please stop pretending otherwise. Swan is just an annoying Wessie TWS supporting ****. Ah say. Well Ah say **** off you cockwomble. Ideally commentary would be back on RH, but with actual proper football commentators, but that's not going to happen.
Adkins was delighted with the performance of returning David Meyler. No **** Sherlock. He should have been in our midfield every game he was available for.
I actually think Larsson and Henriksen have been playing quite well lately. I've only seen the home games though.
I don't necessarily disagree. Larsson in particular has been one of the stand out players this season. There's certainly games he should have played in and would have improved our midfield considerably.
correct - I go to almost every game and I can confirm that Larsson and Henriksen have become our best centre midfield pairing - Meyler was ok last night and fought well to earn his penalty - Meyler has always shown a lot more when he's in the opposition box than he does in midfield - the problem I have with him is he constantly gives the ball away and gives away needless free kicks - his passing was ok last night but he always chose the simple option, which is ok, rather than attempt anything creative - unfortunately he was passed much too easily last night, like a knife through butter then he didn't show any urgency to chase after the man or the ball, he just laboured - there was one time in the first half when he started to run alongside his man for 30 yards - Meyler was 15 yards behind in no time -it just appears it was all too much for him to be bothered - a good example is their equaliser - he wasn't watching what was going on and the player came behind him and scored - he was marking no-one and just ball watching - having said that there must of been 5 at the back who did exactly the same thing - Meyler was better last night and he made the equaliser but nowhere near good enough to demand a starting place
Meyler switches off way too much for me, I think one of the worst I saw was v Arsenal when he gifted Giroud an early goal. Lacks focus, probably because of all the hours he puts in gaming, not knocking gaming but the lad has a family too.
Faint praise for Meyler there charon , would you really expect him to be 100% match fit either considering how much he has played ? It still baffles me why you pick on individual players and give others a complete pass in their deficiencies
Poor "Happy" your clearly not happy but unfortunately you are wrong on this occasion I've also listened to lots of other local radio commentators and it only leads me to the conclusion Mr Burns is one of the best, funny though last night's Viking had me in stitches I'm surprised Craig ***an did not start laughing at one point the chap who does the commentary is fine until he gets to a crucial moment and he freezes and leaves the listener in limbo it's frustrating somewhat
RH's commentary isn't horrible, it's perfectly fine. It's ****ing miles ahead of anything else on offer, that's for sure.
How many other clueless twonks got the might of Scunthorpe promoted on a ten bob bit and Southampton from league 45 to the prem? Adkins once said this stadium is full of clueless twonk managers and I'm the only one that's wrong.
Wow just watched that move and the approach play is almost sublime for Hull City at present and I am prepeared to give praise to us rather than slag them off.
It certainly was a great move, as was the move that Aina almost scored from. Nige certainly got it bang on right with his six changes last night, even though we all thought he'd lost the plot when the team sheet came out. It seems crazy that a supposedly weaker eleven can put on better performance away from home against the champions elect, than our apparent first eleven at home against a team that are managed by someone renowned for quoting this as the 'tickly bit' of the season, and whose team is not in the best of form. It's a funny old game.
I realise it was his first game back but I didn't get Kingsley on the left wing, he looked like a fullback playing to high up, but maybe that was the plan.
Why do people say 'we all' for things when it never is here? Some people certainly looked ridiculous with the pre-match comments. The 'first eleven' isn't necessarily full of match winners anyway, so putting some others from the squad out doesn't have to mean a big weakening. And attitude is virtually as important, certainly at this level. Maybe some of these players were hungry for a chance.
Because it's easier and shorter than saying 'the majority', plus most sensible people understand what's meant by it and don't question it?
