    True and true. I'm just fed up being cold all the time <laugh> I need some sun to recharge my batteries. I wonder sometimes if I have that seasonal depression thingy.

    I don't get severe depression that some do but I've got a bad habit of leaving the curtains closed for too long in the am, so I got a SAD light and it definitely helps lift the mood. You could also try vitamin D supplements.

    Glad it’s cold atm. Don’t want it to be too warm while still have this cast on my arm. Imagine it’s already gross under there after 4 weeks of not washing, let alone what it would be like in hot sweaty weather.

    Can't for a while yet due to family commitments. A while ago we looked into having a small holiday home somewhere warm then along came grandchildren and we don't feel that we can be too far away for any length of time.

    A stat on its own does not "tell you anything" but it allows people to extrapolate and allude without any further information, so "London's murder rate is worse than New York," is used by the gun lobby to say gun laws don't work, even if many of those London murders were with knives. Indeed, North Wales and Manchester have higher murder rates per head of population, just as the USA still has a way higher gun death rate than the UK. And this London/New York comparison is only for February and March. Extrapolating from a small sample set is like pointing out Djimi Traore has a CL winner's medal.
