I never mentioned him as a top top player.

Yes the defending in PL is **** but actually i think theres a dearth of top centre backs world wide.

 

I wasn't joking about Gonzo, he really rates Matip

 

i don't think he's that bad either. Solid defender.

I don't think he'd be a good partnership with VVD though.

Think you need a more dominant sweeper and have VVD attack things.

 

Which is why I think Klopp prefers Lovren.

Can see us buying another CB this summer but hopefully we sort the midfield first.

 

Lovern is always accident waiting to happen.
Brendan Rodgers bought him because he scored the only goal in Liverpool vs Southampton at Anfield. Bad judgement on the part of Rodgers.

I voted for matip because I want ma tip to see more action. Also I think Matip is our next best all round defender with great potential.

 

Apparently it was Carragher who recommended him ...

 

In addition to Keita, I hope we buy a CB and CM. Sort the spine out.

 

Ah well ... looks like it's Lovren then. Matip's out for the season
