Norwich lie in 14th place, one place and 5 points above us. A win on Monday, and I will believe that it is possible for us to push on and attempt to climb the table. A loss, and I can see us finishing the season as a bit of a non-event, finishing somewhere below 15th, but with time to give some more of the youngsters a bit more experience. QUEENS Park Rangers face our second game in four days as the R’s take on Norwich City at Loftus Road on Easter Monday. The reverse match, back in August at Carrow Road, saw the Canaries run out 2-0 winners thanks to two second half goals. It’s also worth remembering that this fixture last term was Ollie’s first game back in charge and ended in a 2-1 victory for the R’s. Norwich head to W12 struggling for victories - they have won just one of their last nine games. Their poor run of form has seen them pick up six draws and two defeats with their only win coming before the international break against Reading. Daniel Farke’s side are comfortably in mid-table with 52 points, but their will undoubtedly be some disappointment with the way their campaign has gone considering just two months ago they were nicely situated for a potential end of season run at the play-offs. Norwich have a young side with a lot of potential but they have perhaps lacked the experience needed for a gruelling Championship campaign. However, the East-Anglian outfit’s real issue this season has been the lack of striker to put ball the ball in the back of the net. They have scored just 41 goals this campaign - only four teams in the league have found the net on less occasions. On the road Norwich have been fairly impressive, picking up 26 points, which has included victories at Sheffield United, Bristol City and Middlesbrough. The key man to look out for in yellow will be James Maddison. The England Under-21 international has lit up Carrow Road this season with his skill, vision and long-range shooting. It’s important the R’s defence try and stop the service to the attacking midfielder especially in and around the box. Ollie will be hoping his team can bounce back from a disappointing evening on Friday. The Hoops just couldn’t put the ball in the net despite a dominating performance at the Madejski Stadium but have the chance to quickly put that right on Monday afternoon.
True, but I doubt you’ll see us lose a game we dominate to such an extent before we are all long gone. Nodge fans seem pretty disgruntled. Reading’s were high on new manager bounce and Lidl own label cola.
There was thousands of fans there & walked out heads down, after a good start, ****ing awful journey home.
I understand that it may have looked like we'd dominated when looking at the stats but I saw the game and actually thought we were pants, with Reading being slightly more pantsy. We seemed to be toothless and again without a coherent plan. If we don't revert back to what was working in our recent good form, we may have a similar result.
I was there. We shat on a poor side for almost all the game after the goal. Just couldn’t score from our million chances.
Thanks Dave No idea on this one as we cannot take a single chance at the moment Maybe a Syila goal between the teams as I see it
We battered them for an hour of that game. 27 shots hardly suggests toothless. Just poor finishing and good keeping. I agree with West Windsor.
Too short shorts ... as well too narrow hoops. It is probably the new Reading kit? It will suit them well.
