Agree with most if not all points in the article. I wouldn't write off Ba just yet though, as many fans seem to be doing. We have so much competition now, a far superior bench to what we had last season.

I would stick Ba and Best up front together, just to see if it can work. However, with Shola not playing last night, I am guessing he will start on Sunday.

  3. Ok, so he scored in 4 of his 10 starts on the side, and should have had 5 goals because he had a goal called offside that wasn't against Arsenal, and he got so unlucky not to score vs Spurs because his shot bounced off the underside of the bar and somehow deflected outwards.

So if he's scores in 40% of his starts, and Shola scores 6 in about 27/28 starts, which is around 15-20%, who deserves a start?

Best wins more in the air despite being smaller than Shola, and has better balance and movement. Shola may have more strength than Best, but Best can use his strength and movement in the right way.

Best is more effective at winning things in the air, controlling the ball and scoring.

Never thought I'd say this but Ameobi is our best striker

all that was given to Best was long balls, and Ba wasnt on the best form. Best did a good job of knocking them down, if we had someone who was quick live Lovenkrands or Obertan, then we might get a goal.

Vuckic AM, Jonas LAM & Obertan RAM and thats the team i would have. Ba needs time to score and when he does i think his confidence will take a big boost!

    Plus the rest of course..

why do people keep saying this, he is a left winger, so what if he is right footed he is a left winger... his crossings ****e in general hes good on the left because he cuts inside and does good runs that bring fouls, on the right hed be useless hed cut in on his left side and do nothing

    Obertan
    Cabaye
    Tiote
    Jonas

If we're struggling bring on Sammy as a second striker

Surely Vuckic has earned at least a place on the bench?

I'm not sure why people want Sammy to start tbh. He's best used as an impact sub, I don't think he could do what he did yesterday against defenders without tired legs.

Am I the only one who thinks Gutierrez doesn't particuarly have a better side? I think he's equally useful on the right and left. His main use to the team is winning free-kicks in dangerous areas and he can do this on either wing <ok>.

Yes I would play that team and 433/451/4231 formation, 442 doesn't work for us we need that extra player in midfield to keep the ball get possession and hard to beat.

I think with the players we have, we are well suited to a 433.

    Krul
    Simpson-Saylor-Colo-Raylor
    Cabaye-Tiote-Marveaux
    Jonas-Best-Obertan/Sameobi

Bring on Vuckic and Obertan/Sameobi with 20 mins left <ok>

  16. Sorry, just been out on my jog.

When ever i see Jonas cross, whenever he crosses a ball in with his right foot, the majority of the time the delivery is one of quality, on his left foot, most of the time they're ****e.

I'd say it's worth at least a try don't you? We'll never know if we don't try it!

As i said, if Jonas does end up on the right and it doesn't work out, i'll come out and eat humble pie <ok>

Well, theres 2 sides to this argument. If we got 442, I hate the flat midfield. Tiote and Cabaye would both be playing far too deep and there would be nobody linking the striker to the midfield (the Ben Arfa role, when he's back).

On the other hand we go what is supposed to be 4231, but it ends up just looking like a 451, especially as Jonas would spend more time in defence covering for Raylor (which is why he MUST play on the left imo), but because we're basically playing 451 we don't get any goals and we slate him for playing a loan striker.

Agree with that team - would play everyone one of those players (Ba over Best as he will come good!)

Only change I would make would be Obertan on right and Jonas on left as I believe that is where he has been excellent and some how don't think he can be as effective on right - cuts inside and causes all sorts of problems IMO - not goalscoring wise sadly though :(

  19. I don't care about your opinion as even if it's slightly different to mine, it's wrong. You're wrong and i'm right. stfu!

Don't want it but this is what I think it will be:

    Krul
    Simpson Taylor Coloccini Taylor
    Guthrie Tiote Cabaye Jonas
    Ba Ameobi

    Shola that is...
