Aaaahhh. Good to be back. A 3-1 win for the Tigers, after a slap up meal at Carvers and a few flaggons of ale in Parkers. A good day. So this is what the new world looks like, impressive, apart from the Old Tigers of course. Destiny is like a great white horse, you grab it by the reigns, and steer it in the direction you want it to go. Let's stop playing like it's the first leg of a 2 legged cup game where away goals count double, and give it a go. May as well lose by 2 as 1. UTT PS To those I may have known on the old 606, I hope life is treating you well.
OLM, good to hear from you old chap, I hope you are well. Been busy working for a living, and a bit of R&R in a log cabin in the Catskill Mountains, New York State (between Saugerties and Woodstock) - back to nature so to speak, although I will admit the thought of big bears being around scared the living sh1t out of me. Unfortunately this is my first season without a pass since the late 80's (wasted a pass last season), though I do now have access to a pass in West Stand every other home game (due to a mate now working offshore). Have missed the banter, both on 606 (and new version) and pre-game in the mighty Parkers. Am now fully focussed. Hope we can alleviate the poor home run. One piece of luck can make all the difference. UTT
I completely agree, at home, we used to go at teams from the off in our promotion season and to some extent in the premier league, and that is what we need to do now, teams are going to come to the KC and get men behind the ball. We need more early goals, it is interesting to see that in our 23 home games in our promotion season, we managed 13 goals in the first 20 mins. However in our last 25 home games we have only managed 3!! An early goal would take the pressure off the players and they would be able to play with more freedom, then we would see us beating teams by 3 and 4 goals. I just think we start off a bit too negative and afraid to concede, and I'm not saying that Pearson is a bad motivator of players, but Brownie used to get the players going from the off, the players would come out flying, creating chances, and this is what gets the fans on their side. An early goal tomorrow could just kick start our season...
