Wrong team, which isn't the reason we lost, but we need to look at it for the future. Root shouldn't bat three, keep him at four and bring in Livingstone for one of the bowlers (Overton) as we don't need four seamers as well as Stokes. Admittedly I know he isn't fully fit.

Clearly preparation has had a huge impact, but we don't even have the excuse of conditions. This pitch is like any other May pitch in the UK.

Anyone else think international players are being asked to play too much cricket these days? And that overseas tours are too long?

i blame the administrators. they just want more money and they're congesting the schedules with one-day drivel to that end. in the past, teams would have a number of first-class games to try to get used to the conditions.

To be fair they got rid of having a number of first class games years and years ago, and we haven't been bowled out for 58 very often since they got rid of them.

I agree that is having an impact, but I think the huge links between our ODI team and Test team currently is having an impact. I honestly think this is one time there isn't one exact cause, and there are a number of reasons why we are performing poorly.

there's far too much cricket and a major problem is that one-day cricket is more lucrative. i know one-day games have sharpened fieding and scoring rates. 20-20 is the invention of the devil. if i was running a county team and any player decided to only play one-day cricket, i'd get rid of them.

this innings was a one-off. it would have been far more embarrassing if they hadn't passed 26 or 45. we still haven't got the top order sorted yet, and we've been struggling with it for the last few years.

the Aussies not having a good time of it in South Africa. Warner getting slated again, the aussies whinging about the abuse they are getting. Pot, kettle and black and now Bancroft hiding sandpaper under his cock once they realised he was tampering with the ball.
    Bok off.

****ing Aussie cheating ****s. HaHaHaHaHa @ Smith, Warner and Lehman. Calls for them to either resign or be sacked, by other Aussies.

    From BBC website;
Australia captain Steve Smith and vice-captain David Warner have stepped down from their positions for the rest of the third Test against South Africa a day after admitting to ball tampering.
They will continue to play though even after having been caught blatantly cheating.
Te cheating ****s should be banned for life.

It really is ironic that both of them were sneering and laughing at the Bairstow incident, that'll wipe the grins of their faces..

    Great leaders...

Smith said that the team's "leadership group" had a plan, carried out by batsman Cameron Bancroft, to tamper with the ball to "get an advantage".

In England's next presser, Bairstow and Morgan should start it off by giggling like schoolgirls.

    It's only right.

Start of the Aussie tour Bairstow greeted Bancroft in a bar with a tepid meeting of heads. Obviously it was wrong but the fact no one pressed any charges nothing ever came about it, apart from Smith and Bancroft having a giggle in a press conference after the first test win, all very childish. It was if to say we made it up and got it under your skin and the press on Bairstows back.

What was unnacceptable was the sleding the Aussie's did in the following tests about Johny's Dad.

Hopefully this will bring them down a few levels, everything Warner is getting he brings on his self, then Lehmann and the Aussies complaining about the way the crowds over there are having a go, thats rich. Then they tried to get Rabada banned as he bushed Smith's shirt when he got him out, all because simply hes bowling them out.

Cricket Australia needs to have a word with its self.

It will also be very interesting if anyone is looking at any coverage of the Ashes thats gone, especially when an Aussie fielder has the ball in their hands!
