Quoting Rudi's post about the 8-45 Kemp

The fav for this, Oregon Gift ran today and sluiced up under De Sousa at Wolvers. If he runs he's the likely winner, if they don't run him again, I'd fancy the equine sick note Wally's Wisdom, who finally won a race 16 days ago, trying for win number two at 7-1 (although with probable rule 4 if OG is scratched)

    Good luck Rudi <ok>

Is today the day when the lovely Rebecca begins her resurgence. 2 entries at Newbury (Mystical Knight and Joe Farrell) and money for both. Is there a better sight in racing than the lovely Rebecca in the winners enclosure?

That’s the first time, on here, the old boy has ever been prefixed ‘lovely’!

Surely, though the way you identify a true gentleman or lady on the racecourse is not how they behave in victory but in defeat.

In Newbury 14,30 Kincora Fort 5/2 goes in search of the hat-trick, if he stays he can get it.

Is it really a week since we watched Native River cruise up that hill and Pacha Du Polder make everyone smile?
Blimey ... ( Farclas was my "take out" from that day )

Sometimes, you know, you scan through the cards and one just, well, pops out, don't you think.?
    Newbury, 3.05
    Christmas in April

Up at Sedgefield, there are a few I like, but one in particular, so I'll stick with that as today could be the day
    Sedgefield, 2.20
    Birch Vale

A double with Moabit and Jimmy The Jetplane looks a good way to end the Newbury card.

Any results there will allow me a chance to have a look at Kempton and Dundalk this evening.

Good Luck all, have a great day. :emoticon-0148-yes:

The lovely Rebecca radiates in sporting fairweather or foul Sir Barney. If a respected forum correspondent, who has some inside insight,is to be believed the recently appointed lieutenant has a much darker side when dealing with the little guy away from the camera. A true gent or lady is identified in my opinion not by how they behave in the full gaze of a camera crew but how they conduct themselves when the red light isn't illuminated.

i note that all of dean ivories runners today have been trimmed , none more so than Badenscloth , not that this necessarily means they're all going to win , but a good showing won't surprise , ew thievery as it's wrongly called ....

Of course, SBC, but Chaninbar's forum memories are very good indeed, and his above comment very accurate too. The 'respected forum correspondent' he refers to is one of the few horseracing professionals not606 has, and once gave a short account of how rude N.H. was on the telephone to her once. He is no God, SBC, just a good and successful racehorse trainer, but should not be put on a pedestal and given a Thai 'Wai' every five minutes?

Swanny, has the steward forgot to put the T in your lunchtime GnT?!? I’ve certainly never said the chap was ‘a God’ and I’ll whisper this very quietly so as not to give the game away. If you actually read what I say most of the time I take the pee out of the him more than almost anyone else does – although somewhat subtly. I think though that only a few actually realise this!

I've next to no worthy insight but here are today's avoiders:

    Double
    Newbury 14:00 Euxton Lane
    Sedgefield 14:20 Raised On Grazeon

    Trixie with covering singles:
    Newbury 15:40 Bobo Mac
    Newbury 16:10 Early Du Lemo
    Sedgefield 16:30 Black Narcissus

    Just a modest bash today:

    15:25 Sedgefield : It's Your Move e/w

(Nice little contest this. Selection fell LTO, but previous form not so bad at all. Competent and experienced northern rider on board. 11/1 with PP atm seems a fair price).

OK, Sir Barney, if you say so. I will try to read your comments more carefully in future. I'm a beer drinker btw, but, in passing, it was my mum who loved her G&T, and how. Very seldom had to buy one herself, very popular publican's missus. On her day off would often go to Sandown, Hurst Park, or Kempton, toddle along to Tatt's bar and enjoy the racing from there! :emoticon-0100-smile
