It's an opinion, something you have plenty of. PLT is a director of the Trust and should refrain from needless gossip about internal conversations; having a 'source' you don't trust should be kept close to your chest. It's my opinion as a member of the Trust.
Why would there be no hope? This ballot has been turned into something massively significant and it's not. Only if you let it be.
I couldn't see a question mark; it was a simple observation, the type you frequently make, as you did here. You don't confuse me, thanks for your polite response.
I know, but sometimes, when you represent a mixed bag of members, it might just be prudent and respectful to be guarded at key times. Again, just an opinion, as is your post.
Couldn’t see a question mark? If you read the posts back like a conversation then you’ll get it Question marks strewn about it What exactly is your point??????
Even that Geoff or Jeff that is always calling into RH changed his tune. In the early days of this name change he slated CTWD and how wonderful the Allam's are. Now he calls in a slates the Allam's like most others are doing now
As you insist in carrying this on in a tetchy manner... ...I read it back and saw a conversation (of sorts) that had questions involved in the posts, just as there were answers. When I read your first post you chose to only quote one post that was a statement, not a question. It would have been more relevant to your point (if you had one) to post a quote that included the answer you thought applied. A point nothing more complicated than that. It seems that you feel free to interrupt/include yourself in a conversation - just as you did with your critical observation of TOM - yet you get rather shirty when it happens to you. I'll butt out now.
Maybe TOM would like to come back and clear up the confusion. A summary, someone claimed the FA requested the OSC to do a survey. TOM who is now deep in the OSC asked if that was true and added that he used to think that was the case but now he's not sure (he could ask his mates at the OSC) PLT came back and said in a round about way that it was true the FA did ask for a survey. Happy to be corrected.
Although I repeatedly state this, the current board and officers (maybe with the exception of me) were not involved in the ballots. I attended my first meeting in October 2014 and was invited to be a Director in July 2015. I knew what was going on and was involved to a degree, but I did not have a vote and I was not privy to all that was said and done. The reason I asked is, that whilst I accepted at the time that the FA had requested the OSC to ballot its members, I was then and still am a critic of the FA and PL, when it comes to their attitude to supporter involvement. It is the same for the submission. I never saw any correspondence from the FA and accepted that the OSC was also asked to prepare one. The question was and is an honest one. I simply had my doubts, whats wrong with asking PLT who was Director of the OSC at the time. Thanks
Remember, voting closes at 4.00pm today. The concessions proposed obviously don't go far enough, but let's at least get the principle of concessions reintroduced and then fight to get the restrictions removed. The alternative is things staying as they are and that has to be the worst possible outcome. http://vote.hulltigers.com/
It's not really a big deal. As I said, it's something Geoff was told. Geoff is extremely well connected as you can probably imagine and he gets people from all sorts of different angles coming to him with information they think might be useful to the Trust. On this occasion someone claimed they know that Ehab is hoping for a 'no' vote. That is obviously very difficult to prove or observe and must be taken with a pinch of salt. The identity of the person who told him that isn't in my opinion someone who makes it definitely believable. It's not an issue of trust but an observation of their standing. Either way, we'll see soon enough. If Ehab wants a no vote then that is what will be announced.
I wonder how many people will actually vote , there hasn't been that much publicity about it really , especially from the club I'm expecting low voting numbers whatever the outcome
I'm expecting voting to be very low, it's not been pushed by the club and around 15% of current members are corporates, who have jump through hoops just to be able to vote (I get the impression they thought the corporates wouldn't be arsed, as they're not affected by the outcome).
Do you get confirmation that your vote has gone through? I voted weeks ago but nothing to say my vote has been acknowledged.
I just got an onscreen conformation. Since you don't put in an email I guess there'll be no email confrimation.
I didnt even get that. My lad had the option to vote as well and nothing for him either. I guess my votes wont count then as I didnt vote for how they wanted me to. ****s.
