Great signing for you

  1. Toon fan in peace.

Gutted about losing Joey. He was our best player, and deserved a new contract, but our fat cockney **** of an owner wouldn't give him one.

You've got an amazing player for nothing, he's strong, aggressive, excellent passer of the ball, awesome crosser, excellent vision and has a wicked shot on him.

I think he will be your captain. He's an intelligent bloke, very passionate and probably now your best player.

    Farewell Joey.

That's a great endorsement - of course, there are negatives with Joey...

Cheers Toon, great addition on the pitch for us,just worried about his shenanighans off it!
Could be interesting if Neil gives him the captaincy over Adel!
Good luck for the rest of the season except in a couple of weeks time. How many you think your gonna bring down to Loftus, now prices have been slashed?

  5. Not really mate. All his "negatives" are in the past, and everything he does gets way over hyped. He's no longer the thug he was.

He did punch Pederson last season, but that was the only bad thing he'd done. He was kicked and hacked all over the pitch every time he played becasue the opposition managers try to get him fired up, and he eventually snapped.

He apologized and him and Pederson are now mates.

Thanks Toon. Must be hard knowing that he wanted to stay with you guys too. But I'm sure he'll come to love us too and should make for an interesting game at LR in a couple of weeks.

Tbh what HM Toon's saying about Barton's the same as what other toonites have also said. Toon fans ain't known for putting up with bollocks, yet all who've come on here recently have been choked to see JB leave Newc.

First home game against Newcastle - I expect the whole ground will be cheering his name!

I wonder what clauses are in this 4 year contract? Both for him and the club

I think that's been one of the biggest positives around JB; how choked the Toon fans hve been to lose him. To me that shows he has changed himself around and matured. Don't mind having a hard midfielder who also is also cand display strength, pass the ball well, cross the ball well, reads the game well and can shoot well!!
And what was his transfer fee?? Oh yeh.. nothing. Sounds like we've saved £5m pounds not buying Parker, and can be used elsewhere to improve the squad.
Great result. Congrats to NW, Tony, Amit and all the QPR staff for getting the job done!

cheers 'Toon' must be gutting for your fans. I think we all know that his heart is at Newcastle and would have been there if Mick Ashbloke had not had a personal problem with him.

Really happy he is at QPR and it proves that our board mean business. I guess the Toon Army would be happy he came to QPR rather than a club they dislike.
Hopefully he will show the brilliance that he did for Newcastle.
    Cheers

I admit I was one of those with reservations, Brix, but reading what the Toon fans are saying about him speaks volumes. His talent and commitment were never in doubt, and it seems, his attitude is improving with age...(like the rest of us!)

We are completely nuts for letting Joey go.

Never mind. The Championship is more interesting than the PL anyway.

I'm delighted, he could yet play for England in the coming years. He is a box to box midfielder exactly what we need. Others will come now. Well done to the QPR board.
