its become a bit of a buzzword used by football managers in regard to unsuccessful bids as it doesn't meet their asking price but the term derisory is thrown around like confetti these days and it really boils my piss.

definition so small or inadequate as to deserve contempt or ridicule

when you hear about us offering barnetta £45k a week and his agent to say thats derisory it ****ing rubs me up good and proper. its one thing trying to tease a wee bit more cash out of the club in negotiations but to call an offer like that derisory is a the real ****ing insult.

Didn't it work out that Barry McIntosh, who mentioned the offer as derisory, wasn't Barnetta's agent?

I agree though that the term is overused.

well it seems to me that you hear the bloody word associated with just about every player bid these days. owen coyle has came out saying arsenals bid for cahill was derisory which is whats set me off. i dunno the ins and outs of that particular offer but it was the 'D' word that set me off on a rant...

You're not, I thought he was an easy fat lass but surprisingly he's a fussy eater.... And a bloke.

I nearly pissed in my kebab when I saw him naked.
