I've just found this on the official website. http://www.liverpoolfc.tv From the looks of things, Alberto Aquilani doesn't have a Liverpool future, not now,not ever. However there is no resentment from either side. This is the report. Kenny Dalglish has explained the club's decision to allow Alberto Aquilani to join AC Milan on loan - and praised the Italian's attitude over recent months. Liverpool have reached an agreement which, subject to a medical, will take Aquilani back to Serie A this season. The deal includes an option to make the move permanent. Dalglish told Liverpoolfc.tv: "It's a great move for Alberto. He's got his wife and kid over there. It was difficult for him here. "When he came back his pre-season training was excellent. We gave him a few games, he did well in those games. But the problem for us was trying to get him in the team. We couldn't get him in the team. "Obviously everybody wants to play and Alberto is moving over to a fantastic football club. He goes there with the best wishes of everyone and we hope it works out for him, because he was never a problem in any way, shape or form." Aquilani has represented Liverpool 28 times since his transfer in 2009. He spent last season on loan at Juventus.
My only thing was, he couldn't get in the team..... huh? I think he wanted to move all along and Kenny is playing nice.
Aquilani was our best player in pre-season? I would have been playing him behind Carroll with Suarez and Downing in the 3 of a 4-2-3-1 formation. That would have been epic. Don't beleive KK, think he's just trying to be nice and save Aqualoani from getting grief from the fans. He didn't want to be here and his dickhead agent is proof of that. Just a pity that he'll be seen as a £20m flop by all other premier league supporters
Maybe just maybe Kenny is being diplomatic for the medias benefit and doesn't want to air the clubs linen in public. There could be a completely different side to this. Aquilani possibly just possibly told Kenny that he cannot settle in the UK and will never settle in the UK and therefore Kenny has decided to let him go, but on the otherhand he will not be part of the squad, at any time. Its Kennys way of preventing any sort of disruption. He could even have been training by himself for all we know. However this will all be kept in-house.
To be honest, I can see this being it for Aquilani now. He is now on loan at AC Milan and I can see him bring brought by AC Milan at the end of the season. Can't see him playing for Liverpool again... Shame because I felt we never really saw what he could do. Good luck in Milan Alberto!
I too think KK is being diplomatic. It may be some time, if ever, before we find out what was going on. Anyway, it's clear now he has no future with us so I wish we could just sell him- and for a decent price. On another note, not keen on that advert that says 20% off everything over a picture of Stevie.
too easy, someone got his gode on another thread about Kenny needing money, out came the old KPR. LMFAO, ROFL.
