They might get a new manager ‘bounce’ out of it, which could be enough to save them, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
True. 2-3 wins would probably pull them away. I chuckled when I read the news but you never know he might be a good fit.
We probably need 3 wins and maybe a draw to be safe. Pellegrino had 1 win in 17 league games so we had no other choice but to find a replacement. I wouldn't have picked Hughes but we weren't left with many options. We've only given him a contract till the end of the season so it's not that much of a risk seeing as we were heading down under MP2.
You need 9 points from 8 games imo, but looking at your remaining fixtures I’ve no idea where they’re coming from tbh.
West Ham, Everton, Leicester, Bournemouth, Swansea are the likely ones. Everton, Leicester and Bournemouth will all most likely have nothing to play for when we face them so hopefully can get something in those games. When we play Arsenal it is the weekend between the Europa QF matches so they will probably not have their first team which gives us a better chance of getting something, and City final game might be before CL final which again gives us a better chance if we need something then. Still think we are probably ****ed tbh, but our run in isn't as bad as some of the others down there.
Bournemouth at home is winnable as is West Ham away. Then it's down to hopefully getting something at Leicester or Everton. Not a great set of fixtures for us overall though.
Us Everton and Burnley could well be contesting a Europey place ... might even catch the misfiring Goons
... have you got anybody as tall as Peter Crouch or as dirty as Charlie Adam? ... if not, Sparky will be well confused
... we were having problems ... Riyad Mahrez had done a Sky ... he's back now and everything is rosy .... a lesson there methinks
Fookin loved his stuff ... how this never became a football anthem for you, us, Cardiff or the Chavs I don't know ...
... was still touring up to a few years back ... and still bloody good .. (not generally in the Dorset area to the best of my knowledge)
He wrote Heart as big as Liverpool which was used at the Hillsborough services at Anfield. Good red is Pete
Mark Hughes is a horrible little ****nosed ****. I hope he takes Southampton down to the Championship
