I only saw the first half, but in most of what I saw you played like the away team. That's what mystifies me about Mourinho's tactics.

You are definitely not alone in your opinion and I would not class that as a wum. Sometimes people say what they see and are castigated for it because others don't like/can't take it.

 

The reality is Diego is totally gutted, he comes on this thread when they win and we lose or vice versa, and although his club got humiliated earler he still showed his grid, fair play mate, but Utd are still and will always be light years behind LFC in European Competition.

I have no idea why Sanchez is in the team, I have no idea why we would drop McTominay for Fellaini (although I don't think that was a serious problem), why bring Pogba on before Martial and Mata? the whole thing is a mystery to me.

If you start the game with the team we did the first thing you do is change Sanchez for Mata at half time and get Rashford wide left, later (if still struggling) you take Fellaini off for Martial (don't really need Mata and Lingard in the same area so Lingard drops back to help midfield and link attack). As it was the subs had no chance and if anything made matters worse.

I haven’t paid much attention to team selection but has mata been dropped for a while? Think he’s still your best attacking player but seems Mourinho just doesn’t like him if he has given what also happened at Chelsea.

 

Tbh you've backed Mourinho all season(so far)and fair enough, but let's be honest Diego mate Mourinho would rather play the big money signings in big games rather than kids that have shown what they can do, good luck with your loyalty but remember Mourinho's track record as to loyalty.

Nah, Mata gets enough game time (same as most) and is very effective when he plays. The only players who get game time they don't deserve are Sanchez and Pogba, they bring nothing to the team at the moment and there is no justification for playing them.

 

When did it change with pogba this season as at one point he did seem to be bossing it, was it the injury?
