I backed two in the Supreme a while ago If The Cap Fits 10/1 and Summerville Boy 25/1, with ITCF out I can see why Getabird is so short, its probably the worst Supreme in my time and he wont need to be Douvan or Vautour to win it. Amy Murphy 2nd and Mengli Khan 3rd in the betting tells you everything about this race.

25s is very nice

missed the triecast

Hats off - Great shouts DK and certainly worth a trumpet - I was a non believer with BVD though and couldn’t have him with stolen cash (I’m a romantic and would loved to have seen the old boy Faugheen do the business) <doh>

Only came around to Summerville Boy this last couple of days so missed the juicy prices - no wonder I can get a bet on with B365 <laugh>

All seriousness, well done <cheers>

So who wins the gold cup in this ground?? (“Please don’t say native river - can’t have him one bit)

Beefy- Our bets on Our Duke look back on the cards again!!

I couldn't be confident in saying Native River won't win but in my opinion he will try run them into the ground and be picked off and end up with a place at best. **** knows what will win though. My first suggestion Disko, danced of into the moonlight weeks ago. Sizing John is ****ed. Mite Bite is too much of a head case. Think I'll probably end up with Djakadam ew. Knows the course, knows the race so without a confident alternative this might have to do

I ain’t on Our Duke Wooly fella! My GC bets were/are Yorkhill (LOL) and Edwulf at 25s few days ago! Was wanting to back Might Bite till the ground went, but would strongly consider Our Duke on the day on this ground too, as he will stay!

Yes and it looks like it's pretty good. I was fortunate to bet him last year at the Albert Barlett and I am tempted to repeat. It seems that it will run safe but I am afraid of such inactivity. If he runs I'll be there. 10/1 currently that if he was in shape is a gift.

And I've been there.

Finished with ante post for Cheltenham. Have some decent one's and some awful one's.

Sharjah 10/1 Supreme
We Have A Dream 8/1 Triumph
Kiltuagh Vic 25/1 GC
Coney Island 16/1 Ryanair
Tiger Roll 25/1 CC
Saint Calvados 8/1Arkle
Edwulf 25/1 GC
Kilbricken Storm 25/1 AB
Yorkhill 12/1 QM
Brain Power 12/1 QM
Min 8/1 QM
Went right off him.<doh> Nice bet to land but sickened that I didn't have more today.

WD doalittle, Fabulous Saga ran better than expected after his last no show although I wanted my 50 quid back pre race, didnt think they should have ran him.

You shouldnt lose sight of the fact that the Gold Cup is two furlongs further than the RSA fella. The race you need to be backing him for is the King George. I think he will hose up in that. Would love to see him run in the Aintree Bowl too!

Ref Might Bite

I have heard so many people say post race that with better ground he would have won. I disagree, although not too emphatically, as I have long thought the Gold Cup distance would be at the very end of his stamina.
Native River was going away at the line and Anibale Fly was gaining on him. At Kempton he looked to be at the end of his tether and the Gold Cup is an extra two furlongs with a hill at the end to boot.
He could be another classy Henderson horse that doesn’t quite get up that Hill regardless of the ground.

Having watched it again I tend to agree Stick. Let's hope they both line up again next year on good to soft. Might Bite is no spring chicken and although lightly raced will be 10 next year. 20 years since a 10 year old won the blue riband.

I see Native River does not appear in the entries for the Grand National. It is all about the Cheltenham Gold Cup with a run next weekend prior. I can't see past this fellow as the likely winner of the race especially as he will be a fresher horse this time.
