AC/DC Guns N' Roses Black Sabbath Motörhead The Who Def Leppard Whitesnake Robert Plant Paul McCartney Iggy Pop That's all I can think of right now, I'm sure there's more. I wasn't around when they were in their prime (or was too young and not into music enough)...so what's a boy to do! Got to try and get tickets now!!
Funnily enough I saw the Stones at Ashton Gate (Bristol City’s ground) in the early 80’s, one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to. This may be related to the fact that when me and my mate rocked up to the entrance, we were told by the stewards that no alcohol was permitted inside the ground. So we decided to neck what we had brought with us before going in. Other people were less patient than us, and dumped their booze in a big pile outside the turnstile. After a bit the word came from inside that the policy had changed, and drink was allowed inside, so we bore huge quantities from the accumulated mountain into the ground, and made lots of new friends during the course of the day and night.
Tickets have gone on sale today to Saints Season Ticket holders. Just bagged a couple. Himself has seen them a couple of times but I haven't so hang the expense - I can say that I was there!
