Have this week off every year. Stopped going two years ago too packed,best racing week of the year bar none

The organisers have got greedy & now let too many people in. It’s almost impossible to move from paddock to grandstand etc.

I have been following the Harry Whittingdale horse in the Arkle on Tuesday & it will be carrying my cash. Saint Calvados.

A great 4 days looms.

 

I know little of the horses, so any tips in here would be appreciated. Only day off is for the gold cup, but it’s tradition between my group of friends. Can’t wait.

 

'The going' is going to be soft/heavy.... Irish horses like Cheltenham and are used to heavy ground!

Lost 10 on the nose for Kalashnikov, but placed for EW Treble and the trixie, though odds won't be amazing on them.

Now have £200 of bookies money to play with over the next five days .... never had a winner in race 1 at Chelts b4.... nice feeling <smugface>

The next race is a pinstickers job - it’s all about Elgin in the Champion Hurdle.

 

Changed my rule of never more than £20 win bets ... now down to £150 of bookies money.

Won my first horse racing bet on Faugheen when Coral did an offer a few years back that paid in cash, so it's in my EW treble. Need it to win to make that bet worthwhile.
