I'm probably looking into this too much but searching for a bit of value in the Champion Hurdle. 14/1 each way Mick Jazz without the favourite. Been running well all year in Ireland. He picked up the grade one when Faugheen underperformed at Christmas. He then chased home Supersundae and Faugheen the last day. He'll be fine on the ground. I wouldn't go all guns blazing in this but it's a fair enough little punt to see if he runs in the first 4.
Day 1 Picks: Summerville Boy & SB/Kalashnikov RFC - Using the Skybet/Betway promotions for this race. Petit Mouchoir Vintage Clouds / Knight of Noir Melon La Bague Au Roi Rathvinden Barney Dwan
It is not a day I like with all the shorties so only option is a Day one e/w yankee - Mengli Khan - only because I can't pick another one Pipe horse in the Ultima probably because of the ground Wicklow Brave - Cannot see anything troubling the favourite so plumped for this at a price Jer's Girl - a good e/w price but again playing for places Rathvinden - Cause I like Alex
Good word for SLATE HOUSE in the first @ 25/1 I personally think Eamon An Cnoic will win the 2 50 @ 25/1 Think Faugheen is massive @ 6/1 too Have a good one all best of luck

Ruby Tuesday is here again !!! Few bets, mainly done antepost. Supreme: Mengli Khan 8/1 antepost (bigger now ffs!) & Getabird 7/2 Think the favourites the right favourite, I was backing away at this lad for the bumper last year until injury so hopefully my faith is repaid tomorrow, best horse in it and conditions should suit. MK is a bit of a nutter but he was the first novice impressed me pre Christmas, drier ground probably would have suited more but not without a chance of placing, take out the favourite and you could make a good case for around 5/6. Mullins reckon they’ve 5 novices would hammer Bleu et Rouge who was behind the AK47 at Newbury, so they know what they’ve got, the Bird to smash them and the Ruuuuby, Ruuuuby chants to ring around Cheltenham and get us off to a flyer. Arkle: Petit Mouchoir 10/1, Footpad 5/2 PM was my very first Festival bet and certainly not without a chance though the heavy ground is not ideal, but it should be for the favourite. Footpad looks the bet of the day and I had a good bit more on this morning at 5/4. Cracking race, can’t have this people knocking the race due to small field, this is a classy renewal. Shame Sceau Royal didn’t make it but the heavy going may well have scuppered him anyway. Champion: Faugheen 7/1 and 3/1 (whoops) Faugheen in the cheekpieces, Ruby up, kicks clear off the bend and won’t be passed up the hill....yeah I’m dreaming but you gotta dream, it’s Cheltenham ffs. Don’t expect him to win but the roof would come off should he beat the jolly. Not sure what to expect, would have liked his prospects on nice spring ground as he always looks imperious bouncing off nice ground here but the ground is what it is. He’s the best horse in the race, it’s just whether he can come back to his best after two poor efforts at the age of ten. If anyone can get him back Willie Mullins is the man. Mares: Apples Jade 5/2 (done at Xmas time to win at both Leopardstown and Cheltenham) Banker, bar the fact she’s odds on she’d be the bet of the day. The Mullins mare the one to worry her most and looks nailed on for the forecast. LBAR impressed me hugely over a stamina sapping 3m but this looks on the short side for her and her track record is shocking too. National Hunt: Rathvinden (25/1 before Dublin Racing Fez fall) Always liked this horse, has course form and will go on the ground. Has scatterings of Grade 1 form where most don’t. Looks plenty skinny enough now, can’t believe he’s 6/1 now as he hasn’t ran since tipping up.
Tentative selections for tomorrow 1.30 first flow 2.10 saint calvados 2.50 cogry 3.30 yorkhill 4.10 apples jade 4.50 ms parfois 5.30 Kayf adventure Good luck hope to bump into one or two of you this week
Down the lion inn tonight down winchcombe was chatting to a few stable lads who gave us might bite last year (said it would win by a country mile!) almost ballsed it up lol anyways i asked them what there best bet of this years festival was at good odds and they said was stowaway magic in the coral cup 25/1 they said they all got 33s e/w obviously seemed pretty confident and only real worry was max dynamite..Nico on board should be interesting needless to say iv stuck it in with a few dead certs just in case it cruises on in!! Roll on tomorrow start the day with a big fry up then Guinness ahoy!!!!! Have a good one chaps and lasses!!!! )
I really shouldn't put up 100/1 shots on a Cheltenham day thread but having performed well on heavy ground and because of the owner and trainer I have had a couple of quid on Train wreck (yes I know) in the Supreme.
It's Tuesday it's Cheltenham Mon the favourites Things you want but don't want to hear " and it's ruby Walsh clear approaching the last................." Best of luck guys
Day1 not too big a day all EW multiples Kalashikov Eamon An Cnoc MTOY La Bague Au Roi NAP Sizing Tennessee Mister Whitaker NB
HAPPY CHELTENHAM DAY Good luck all and remember if it’s going rubbish don’t go chasing. Bet Responsible
Have a successful day everyone. Been studying the novices handicap chase prior to breakfast and I think I have whittled it down to Rocklander. I’d be happier if Tom George were in better form (and not sure if he has ever had a festival winner) but I’ve managed to find a reason to rule everything else out and something has to win. Very undecided because of the ground so small stakes only I reckon.
Knight of Noir & Barney Dwan singles & e/w double. Getabird & Buveur DAir double. Cheeky wee tenner acca on them.
Barney dawn seems popular.thats a lot of weight to be lumping round here in that ground. I'm tempted.
