Jamie Carragher has apologised but what an animal.. please log in to view this image http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43366954
Although the driver with his daughter of the car in question , seemed to be looking for a response from Carragher, to be recording the incident (sounded smug of Carragher's actions) while driving should be questioned. The act from Carragher is disgraceful and he should lose his job as IMO there are no excuses or apologises that would make this incident excusable. What a nasty human Carragher is..I don't find the other driver to be a nice person either!!
If the other driver was filming this then he should be banned and almost certainly will be if that was the case. And Carragher should be sacked from any TV work regardless. There can be no excuse for that sort of behaviour no matter what the provocation.
Sky have suspended him and a Danish TV company he was working for also look to have offloaded him. Serves him right.
SKY seem to have a strange set of ethics.. Sack Keys and Gray for comments made, Suspend Carragher for spitting. Let Kirsty Gallacher off for driving under the influence. Now I'm not defending Keys, Gray or Carragher by any means but which is the worst offence?
I worked with them (Sky) for a couple of years. They were really hard work and were very draconian in lots of ways. But in terms of whose crime was worse from the selection above, then it's Kirsty Gallagher by a country mile.
The other side of football.. https://twitter.com/btsportfootball?ref_src=twsrc^tfw&ref_url=http://www.givemesport.com/1273024-fiorentina-pay-the-perfect-tribute-to-davide-astori-during-match-with-benevento The game comes to a stop in the 13th minute as everyone pays tribute to Davide Astori.
Yes, which is the worst offence? The video footage appears to show careless or dangerous driving on the part of both men. Also, Carragher not wearing a seat belt and could be charged with assault for the spitting. No wonder he's back-tracking like **** now!!!
I am gonna take that last comment back, I just watched the video. Although they won't be able to prove he was sat filming! (even if he was)
Shouldn't be sacked imo, no good can come from it, but yeah, massively scummy from both Carra and the driver.
Can't make up my mind, the guy behaved like a pig but we all deserve a second chance, big donation to a children's charity, massive public apology to the young girl and the driver cautioned, he has made his money.
Words are easy after the event Wiz. Carragher must have plenty of money from a long top flight career to be able to throw some at charities (not that this is a bad thing I grant you) but he is a position of relative privilege and he acted like a kid in the playground. Sky made an example out of Andy Gray and Richard Keys which I personally thought was harsh, and they had also apologised but they were still sacked. I just find spitting at other people disgusting. The Voeller and Rijkaard incident from the 1990 World Cup still makes me want to puke, let alone spitting at a 14 year old girl.
He only apologised, hoping to keep his well paid job at Sky......yes we all make mistakes, usually something said out of line or to that nature.....but to wind ya window down and do that with intent......nah......imo.. sack him from all duties at Sky (maybe not indefinitely) for a good few years..
Suspended for the rest of the season - big deal given there are only a few games left The broadcaster says the 40-year-old, a Sky Sports pundit, will "get the help he needs to guarantee something like this never happens again". Sky says the decision was made following an internal review, adding: "Before the start of the next season we will sit down with Jamie to discuss whether he is ready to return to his role." Following his suspension, Carragher posted on social media to apologise again for a "moment of madness". Greater Manchester Police have spoken to the motorist who filmed Carragher spitting towards his car. Enquiries are continuing but it is understood both Carragher's actions and the filming of the incident while driving could be punishable. Sounds like a cop out to me. Grown men who've earned millions of pounds shouldn't be spitting at 14 year old girls regardless of the provocation. The bloke must be mentally unbalanced.
Hi matias93, welcome to our forum, we spit and cry also, we also laugh and breathe deeply, typical Bristol City fans, just join in, have a laugh or a moan, you will hear and see a lot of that here, welcome to the madhouse mate.
As Wiz said, welcome to the madhouse ! Maybe he had a bottle of drink with him. Either that or the Scousers save a ready made pool of Saliva inside their cheeks (like a Hamster stores nuts) in case they ever feel threatened by 14 year old girls !?
None of them come out of it with any credit Stupid and disgusting from Carra People in other car goading and not driving safely As for the apology - actually I think sometimes people do things that shock themselves - I think that's one of these occasions
