Totally, totally different: Suarez immediately admitted what he had done (and why he thought he hadn't done anything wrong) and (missed by many in the furore) apologised to all concerned. What he didn't admit to was to stand there saying 'nigga' seven times as Evra said. And had there been one iota of evidence to support that he did, I would have called for him to be sacked too. In fact, had there been, he should have gone through the criminal courts. It may have escaped your notice that he didn't.

Agree about the comparing but then, I wasn't the one comparing him to Gray.

I mentioned Suarez in response to a Liverpool fan using the moral stance. At no point did I suggest Carragher shouldn't be sacked because Suarez wasn't.

 

Suarez apologised for not realising what he said was wrong: Carra knows damn well that gobbing at a car with a teenage girl in is wrong.

 

Greez never mentioned anything Suarez said or didn't say, he mentioned the biting

 

I said about Suarez apologising. Had Suarez bit a fan (or an opposition fan) I'd have called for him to be sacked. If he spat at a player I wouldn't (nor any other player). The only valid comparison I can make in that instance is when Diouf spat at that Celtic fan. You may or may not believe this, but when I read about that two days later in NZ I swear I called for that **** to be sacked too.

 

He probably didn't even know the teenage girl was in the car.

Not at all but if you're going to keep emphasising the fact there was a teenage girl in the car to exaggerate Carragher's "thought process" then expect that sort of response.

Why is it ok to spit at a player but not a fan?

 

So biting a player is ok then?

 

It's not exactly on hearsay or second hand accounts though - there's a video of him winding down his window and spitting at a car (or, undeniably, spitting at the passenger(s) of a car). So I ask then, what possible reason could he have for doing such a thing, and at what point do you a) think that can be justified, and b) could someone in his position be said to have done something so bad as to be sacked?

Cards is a dick for doing it. It’s gross and no logical reason why he would do that. Should get massive wrap on knuckles, already apologised personally and should prob do some community stuff as a punishment.

Clearly it was going on before that vid started, doesn’t excuse him but only know one side of the story. If some guy was following you, beeping you while driving you might get a bit pissed off who knows..

Dad is a dick for driving with his phone out, recording out passenger window so clearly not looking where he’s goibg with his kid in the car who is clearly embarrassed by the whole thing.

Both been dicks for diff reasons, neither are excusable.

 

Didn't say it was, but it's dealt with under a pre-agreed disciplinary code. Carra should be prosecuted in a criminal court for what he did (you or I would be). I'm sure Sky has a code of conduct for such things.

 

He put the window done to interact but the driver just rotated afford 2-1. That justify spitting but nor is it "banter".

He got pissed off and did something he shouldn't have.

To try and apply logic to his action is ridiculous. He clearly wasn't thinking was he?
