Lawro make it 2:0. Liverpool v Bolton (1730 BST) Liverpool will be very happy with four points from their first two games, and especially pleased with their win over Arsenal last weekend. What we learned in that game was that not only is the Reds' starting XI stronger than last season, but their manager Kenny Dalglish now has enough options to be able to influence games from the bench. They will get better too. Andy Carroll scored a cracking goal against Exeter in the Carling Cup in midweek but he has not made the best start to the season. It will be interesting to see where Carroll fits in once Steven Gerrard is fit, and the formation and tactics Dalglish will use. For now, though, Carroll just needs game-time to get his touch back, because he has hardly played due to injuries since his move from Newcastle. Bolton are full of goals, which is a bit of a surprise seeing as they have lost Johan Elmander and Daniel Sturridge from last season. I have been impressed by them, even in their defeat against Manchester City last week when they just kept going, but I cannot see them getting anything at Anfield. Prediction: 2-0
Aston Villa Vs Wolves: 2-0 Wigan Vs Q.P.R: 2-1 Blackburn Vs Everton: 1-0 Chelsea Vs Norwich: 3-0. Swansea Vs Sunderland: 0-1. Liverpool Vs Bolton: 2-0. Newcastle Vs Fulham: 0-0. Tottenham Vs Manchester City: 2-2 West Brom Vs Stoke: 2-1. Man United Vs Arsenal: 2-0.
Lawro following the same path as last season, liverpool win every game lol, took him till early january to predict your first defeat, although i believe ul beat bolton he has gone for 2-0 you wont keep a clean sheet against them i cant see and they will run you close all game.
Foredeckdave ohh dont worry i am we all know he will revert to to type this game and flood the midfield with defenders and play his preferred 4-6-0 formation and try and hold on for a nil nil draw from the outset, thats the moyes way. i wasnt to happy with lawros complaining about the fans, didnt hear a peep from him when liverpool fans were protesting, and its similar circumstances the two club finds themselves 9obviously not for your lot now) i fancy us to get a wholloping by blackburn i really do and they are an appauling side, 3-1 against a league one side insipres me little.
Toffee already in trouble beaten by newly promoted at home..Blackburn are not going to be easy opposition too.
Expat, leaving aside bias, I am really surprised that you and your supporters have not protested more loudly about your financial position. It's all well and good playing the "peoples" card but you desperately need investment even if only to maintain some form of security. LFC supporters have given you models as to how this can be organised and the strategies that can be employed - so there is no excuse
Foredeckdave i agree in part, but everton and liverpool, are different entities, i hate to say but we are on a different level to you, your club can generate millions every year through commercial activity the guys at everton havent a clue how to do this, no business sense, if the poor starts and results continue their will be an almighty protest soon enough dont worry ah.
The longer you wait the harder it will be. Don't try and follow the Liverpool commercial model - in Everton's position it's not really on as you have no way of generating a big enough global following. However, opportunities do exist for you - particularly in the USA. If you reach out for Mid. East money there is a big opportunity for you there.
