As has often been said, the championship is the hardest league to get promoted from and the premiership is the hardest to stay in.

You're already talking about us getting relegated and we haven't even got promoted and still might not.

One thing is for sure though, next season, we're more likely to be fighting off relegation from the premiership than you are, and not because you'll be comfortable in mid table there.

 

Rob - I've got a lot of time for your sensible input on this forum, so can we agree to disagree on that one and put it to bed?

The only reason this argument has spilled over onto this enjoyable thread is because your moderator chose to close the one on which it was being discussed for his own reasons.

I promise not to mention Cardiff City FC and "hijack" (your word) any of your Bristol City threads unless someone mentions my club/players/manager/owner for which I then reserve the right to respond - is that OK?

I think you will be favorites to go down and I believe you will struggle as I think Warnock will be off and disruption will move in, especially with the debt you have...yes you will get payments for going up but I don't think it will be enough to save you..

 

There are worse out there mate especially the way we approached the prem teams in the League cup......such high praise by Pep, unlike your style that was frowned upon!!

And yes, whoever goes up will be favourites to come down. There are exceptions though. The thing is, you / we can' get relegated from the premiership until we get promoted from the championship.
It'll be interesting to see what Warnock does if we do go up. He's just signed a 2 year contract extension.

 

Aye, agree about the pats on the back from Pep, but now you're paying for it. You thought you were the "Barcelona of the Championship" after that, but you've been found wanting.
