I've been on here many times to defend the lad.... He is exactly how I like my defenders . .Yes I'm old and I like them to defend.. BTW I'm a happy toon fan the neet
Well said mate. They never believe me but I've said to City and Chelsea fans plenty of times in the past that I would genuinely never ever want Saints to become what they have, regardless of any success that came with it. Like you say soulless as ****.
I hope nobody underestimates the disappointment I feel to see the moaners of Rafa last week not come on and admit they're full of **** this week
no mate they were placards left on the seats but because i get in early it was virtually in full view would look good if it was on the seats though
To be honest, even at 2-0 and Soton unable to hit a cows arse with a banjo I was waiting for another Rafa substitution masterclass to hand the initiative to the opposition and spunk 2 points down the pan. At 3-0 I could breath.
Well that's fairly normal to worry until 3-0 with a relegation candidate mate, anyone confident at less is bloody deluded! I must ask you though, whose management would you be more confident under given the current team? No Marcelo ****ing Gallardo, our resident nut-job is currently living that fantasy
Oh, don't get me wrong, at this stage I am confident that Rafa is the best we could hope for and he'll keep us up. I just can't fathom some of his team selections and sub choices, it's maddening. His blind faith in Joselu beggars belief, his sub choices (particularly when we're playing well) seem almost laughable. There is plenty of room for improvement but my worry is that he's too stubborn or set in his ways to work it out.
Fair enough mate. My personal concern is that we won't give youth a chance under him, but will likely endure a majoritively 'survive or die' situation that makes it an impossible option anyway The rest of my concerns, of which some are shared, I consider par course for any manager at any given time. Nobody's perfect, Guardiola was slated last season. Honestly though, If we got Benitez and Joselu still here next season, I will officially losey ****!
So happy we won. If we had lost the game I don't think I could've handled the suicidal tendencies of some of the ****ers on here for the 3 weeks until the next game.
Great performance. Yes Southampton were atrocious and look like one of two destined for relegation, but you still have to get the job done. Very professional performance. Great to see Rafa learn from last weeks mistakes, go like for like on his subs to freshen the team, rather disjointing and creating panic. We should be sat here 2 points better off but our form is great at just the right time. There is a tinge of what could have been but as long as we stay up it doesn’t matter. Some really good performances from us. We didn’t have loads of the ball but Southampton were no threat. They had possession in none dangerous areas. It reminded me of when we used to play Swansea under Martinez. He’d bang on post game how good they’d been, the possession, the stats. I don’t want to be too harsh for Saints fans but they are going nowhere under him.
Go on there forums , they are a very horrid bunch ,as if they are bigger and better than us always. like what the fook, have southampton ever done in footie . load of ****e .
