  10. Nah, I expected the usual twattery from Commie and Skids.

They are quite amusing, in a very childish, immature kind of way.

I might well read "Screenshot," though.

That looks like a cracking read.

Then, I might lend Pix "The Long Goodbye" by Raymond Chandler. I think he may well find that an ironic read.

  11. Skids might find this an interesting read:-

    I’ll play.

I’m reading Fire and Fury. It’s only readable because the content is interesting, the writing style is that of a dim 12 year old.

Also reading Munich by Robert Harris who I think is a great author.

Ham on Rye is pretty ****ing good.

Not as good as Post Office imo, or not as funny anyway, but more honest. He bares his soul quite a bit in that one, and drops the macho bravado.

I have read it before and borrowed it to someone and never got it back. Yes it's a very honest book and brutal.
Haven't read the Brautigan book, only read A Confederate General From Big Sir by him which I really enjoyed.

Never read any Brautigan. Might give him a go soon.

I read Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut on holiday last summer. Made quite an impression on me.

Slaughterhouse 5 was a mind **** when I read it 20+ years ago. Still got it so maybe should give it another go.
