It's definitely caught up with us but it's less of who we sold and more of a lack of investment in decent first team players over the last 18 months. There are failing in all areas at the moment, from the board (who must take the majority of the blame) to the inept manager and lastly the players. Libby's sorted though as at least he got decent odds on us if we do go down, 16-1 I think?
We blew our chances of that with the recent 6 stupid points dropped at Home. Otherwise we’d be in a right good position to do so. Frustrating but I’ll take finishing above Burnley at this point thought that’ll take some doing
"It's damage limitation for Palace now. But Roy Hodgson might be thinking that if they go at Chelsea early in the second half and get a goal then these fans might turn on them. If you start right, you might cause a problem. Some of their fans have been moaning, the manager's been moaning, there are issues here. It's been quiet, maybe everyone's thinking about Barcelona in the Champions League, but the players need encouragement now, to take into that game. It needs something to lift the atmosphere." (BBC Football Live commentary) Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Bunch of snidey bastards, those Chavs.
Palace hit the post and should have scored. Unfortunately it’s woken Chelsea up. Zaha is on. If he breaks down they’re gone. Wisky from Woy.
I expect us to leapfrog 'Pool, tomorrow. Yes, it would be nice to see another London club take the remaining top 4 slot.
Chelsea totally dominated Palace and apart from a late goal their only chances were from our ****ing around with the ball in defence.
Chavs struggled, yet again, to brush aside inferior opposition. They will only get 4th if 'Pool continue to bottle it.
