Yesterday was a bit of a nightmare. After I had spent 3 hours in the car instead of the usual 25 mins to deliver our beloved son to his place of learning, her who must be obeyed decided it would be the perfect time to have a major falling out. The heinous crime committed by my good self was apparently to attempt to deliver her to the appropriate station for her to reach work on time. Foolish me didn't realize that the superior power had already decided to be late and therefore another station would be more in keeping with her needs. Once that the failure to understand her basic requirements was apparent then obviously any attempt to deliver her to the correct station was met with withering derision. I tried and failed with the apology strategy of " if I was wrong I sincerely and humbly do apologise my love". The wall of silence continued unabated until finally I realized the error of my ways and groveled unreservedly. This was met with a tearful acceptance that all was once again well in the Jammy household. Apparently it was the beautiful flowers that I had left for her that had swayed the change in mood. Which is great but now I need another Mothers Day present and obviously it can't be as good as the last one.
Trade her in for a new one. She is obviously broken. I have become a bit of an expert at apologies and yours was everything it should have been.
As the recipient made the stipulations and clarification what are you suggesting? Don’t you want an end to the ongoing spat? What are you hoping to see?
I have reason to believe it might be. But not sure your comment was entirely conducive to achieving the mutually beneficial objective wj, the mods and I are working towards. I think the word I am searching for is ****stirrer.

Not a problem. But wj and the mods have worked hard on this over the previous week and I don’t want to see it blown over a careless comment made in good faith but whilst not in possession of the background. The important thing is that the veil is drawn on the sorry saga.
Apology graciously received. Still completely in the dark where all the vitriol came from, right enough. Perhaps one day .... Note to all: This dispute was between me & the online persona known as Glory. I'm still fine with the guy who in real life is called Steve (I hope). Also, got the slightest hint from the mods that they thought I might be playing silly buggers by not responding promptly. Couldn't be further from the truth. Been very busy the last few days & only got to know today's score long after the match finished. Anyone who's a full time carer will understand. Going overseas 4am doesn't help, either.
