yes mukka decent sound is red with a blue shade whereas crap is orange flavoured with a hint of grape beauty is in the eye of the beholder that's why I carry a mirror and wtf has your TV got to do with WCs washing machine
Anorak! Those were the days.... cos of stuff like that playing way too loud I now hear everything through two Seimens hearing aids.
Ristac - still use my Linn Sondek LP12 with Ittok/Asak arm and cartridge, A&R Cambridge 200W pre/power amp firing through Monster cable into a pair of Heybrook HP3's for my vinyl. Also got an ARCAM CD23 and A32 integrated amp into a pair of Linn Keilidhs for my CD's - all this is in my rear lounge (mancave). In our everyday lounge, as well as the Plasma TV with my new Q Acoustics soundbase (for improved sound quality ) and Sony DVD cinema system etc, got a Bang & Olufson wall mounted Beosystem 2500 for CDs and FM for occasional use. Life's a bitch I know.
I went and purchased a Project Carbon last year, couldn’t believe how expensive vinyl is. Great fun though hunting through some of the vintage shops for decent quality originals. Dug my old NAD 3220 PE out the loft but couldn’t get rid of the crackles so went and brought an Edwards Audio phono Stage. Sounds good through the Denon but not as good as through my old NAD. I had to grovel like you wouldn’t believe in trying to persuade the wife that we do need all this and we can’t have just a simple sound bar like the daughter. I’m quietly watching AV Forums for a good old fashioned Amp when I find one I dunno what excuse I’m going to have to find.
Ristac - I think we've scared them off pal, most of them think they had the ultimate back in the 60's when they bought a transvestite radio......
All ears, wondering if this is going to be a genuine reply or a wind up If genuine I'm expecting either a 65" OLED or projector system
No wind up Ristac. Many many moons ago when I first bought my first LED telly, I listened to sound and said eff that, time for a sound quality change. I went out and bought a home theater system bit by bit, basically, I wanted all Sony components, so went to different shops to get the components that matched and complimented each other. I later sold that one after buying another big LED Telly which was Panasonic, I again went out and bought the components to match. Everything is Panansonic and the receiver is a 7 speaker receiver with Dolby Digital and DTS, as is the DVD player. I also have over 1,000,00 DVD's which I burnt myself, either Dolby Digital or DTS, with some of the older films in stereo and some AC3. Once I bought the first system and heard the airplane taking off, going through the speakers from right to left, and the same with a motorbike, I was sold and never went backwards. I did enquire about replacing my center speaker with a sound bar when they first come on market, cos a friend had one, I told the tech expert what I had and he said don't bother, stick with your center speaker, so I have.....
Commonly used as a replacement word for porn to stop search engines picking it up. Not a typo. You learned something there.
