Vertonghen trying to deal with Costa's pace is almost as bad as Barzagli trying to deal with Son's pace.

He didn't have the ball kicked at him from a yard, he slid in, missed the ball with his feet and hitting it twice with his arm instead, which stopped what looked to be a very good goal scoring opportunity, pretty blatant penalty imo.

with the Vertognen one, it should've been a pen but I think the blatant dive put the ref off.

The vertonghen hack on Costa though was the most blatant penalty you'll ever see. Spurs got away with murder with that one.

 

I like the way he was saying sorry for accidentally falling on his knee and, while apologising, he stamps on him again and then attempts to kick him.

Your opinion on a Tottenham game is utterly worthless. Cheilini put his arm in the way of the ball, it wasn't kicked at him, and Costa took 2 steps after the contact, realised he'd over hit the ball and threw himself to the ground like a bad Alli impersonator.
