As I said numerous times Real Madrid are on a different level and would easily brush aside the favourites PSG over 2 legs. Those who thought PSG stood a chance, clearly don't watch enough football. Real Madrid are the ultimate Champions League side, they have the big players who have proven they can win with ease on the big stage. They strolled through last years CL, and the way they dismantled PSG over 2 legs, just goes to show how great this Real Madrid side is. Ronaldo again proved why he is without doubt the best player in the world, by scoring yet again on the big stage. The guy is just a goal scoring machine in the CL, I've never seen a player in my liftime score in big games as often as he does. As for Liverpool having a chance against them, all I can say to that is I do hope either City or Liverpool get Real in the next round, as il more than enjoy watching Real take apart either of those sides. I just hope if we get through, that we avoid them.
PSG were seriously ****...clueless in the final third, their approach play in and around the penalty area lacked conviction. I expected more pazazz from their play.
The problem with PSG is that they aren't a world class side, what they have is a couple of world class attackers, but the rest of the team is bang average. Their midfield in particular is very poor, Veratti is alright, nothing special but decent enough, but your not gonna be successful in Europe with average players like Motta and Rabiot in there. The only decent defender they have is Thiago Silva, and even he doesn't match up to Ramos or Verane. The other 3 defenders for PSG are either way past it, or just generally average. If they are ever going to do anything in the CL then they'll need to do a lot more than just strentghen the attack.
It’s because, as I’ve said, you can spend as much as you like on buying what are supposed to be the world’s best players, but if there’s no synergy between them then they don’t constitute a team. PSG looked anything but a team last night. The other problem for a team like PSG is that the CL is a massive step up in class from Ligue 1.
The fifth official doing his bit there completely ignoring as blatant a penalty as you’ll ever see. Still better than VAR.
Not sure about the Chielini one. If I supported Spurs i'd be raging it wasn't given, if I was a Juve fan i'd be raging if it was given. Not sure where Chielini is supposed to put his hands once he's in that position.
