I thought the whole midfield area was appalling , every loose ball was picked up by a millwall player often with no City player within 10 yards of them especially first half , whether that is henriksen , Larrson , or tactics - nobody comes up smelling of roses and it is laughable Meyler cannot get a look in
Grotshiti summed it up for me....Lost the ball trying to beat three, turned his back on the play and sauntered off for a walk....mumbling something as he went. If he never wears a City shirt again, it will at least free up a place.
I agree with this.but there no need to move Irvine and bring henriksen in.i know he had players returning from injury; but the team had improved and there was no need to make the two changes.as for grosicki, what' the point in him.adkins blamed the players.i think he was at fault
I think most expected a change in midfield, Toral was generally considered our worst player against Barnsley.
Did anybody else notice that just before they announced the attendance (If that was 13,500 then the stadium has been expanded to a 30,000 seater) it popped up on the screen saying Man of The Match Abel Hernandez?
Doesn’t that apply to almost every player? Aina has been ****ing woeful for 95% of the season yet an experienced senior international doesn’t get a look in at right back.
Sadly, Meyler's been crap as well this season. Aina's been hit and miss, but certainly hasn't been '****ing woeful for 95% of the season'.
Grosicki is dreadful. But Henriksen is being played in the wrong position. He's a number 10 - but he's competing with Irvine and Toral for that role, who are both better in that position in my opinion.
I think he has. His positioning is the worst I have seen in a long, long time. From day 1 vs Villa I said he’s not a full back. In midfield yes, doesn’t explain why he wasn’t given a run of 5 games at right back.
Nailed it. And I know Max but he's not a Championship standard starter. Squad player at best who you can call on to play maybe 10 games a season when a first choice is injured, suspended, etc. He's doing his best but he shouldn't be in this situation.
I feel incredibly sorry for Max. He isn't a left back and he isn't good enough, but who else do we have? People should direct their anger towards the owners for this not hammering a local lad doing his best. Fair enough if he was very capable but just lazy or not fulfilling his potential - but he's working his socks off and wringing out all the ability he has, lets support the lad.
I love Meyler but last time he walked into a game he cost us the points. He must have glaucoma as he hasn't been able to pass to any of our players recently.
I thought he did alright last night, he's just not quick enough and tends to slice a few balls into touch every game.
