Honestly, if it wasn't for Grabban I think you may be mathematically relegated by now... well maybe not quite.
Seems unlikely to me that a striker on loan starting every game, scoring regularly and seeing his stock rise would ask to leave. It’s a lot more likely that Bournemouth were behind it.
Two teams which belong in the premier league: Fulham and Sunderland - A win tomorrow helps both causes.
Fulham? Really? With their puddly little crowds and ground! Think you let your Americanism cloud your views! Villa, Sunderland, Sheffield Weds, Nottingham Forest and Leeds would all come before Fulham as club sizes go! IMO anyhow
I'm hoping the fact that Villa have had over a week off isn't too big a factor. I'd expect a few changes from Millwall to freshen things up.
If he'd stayed we probably wouldn't be in the bottom three right now - he's a quality player at this level and a few steps above Fletcher etc comfortably! We need someone who can score goals - he's a lazy twat, but if you give him a sniff in the championship he'll score.
If u go on a season long loan you should stick with it rather than bailing out half way through. A poor show on his part However, I wouldn't waste my time giving him abuse - counterproductive
Hope we stick with the same starting line up tonight that we did against Millwall......bring kids on later especially if we can get Asoro one on one with Terry....
I’m going to do my bit for the team, it’s soon 11:00 here in Perth gitting a bit squidly now so I’m off to my pit and WILL wake up to 3 pts. Coz if I stay up and listen, I’ll put the jinx on the team. KTF etc. etc.
Abuse to Grabban or not - we may as well accept that he’s bound to score. Probably a heartbreaker 93rd minute winner . Or a hat trick because he knows even more about our defensive frailties than other teams take advantage of
Tonight is as it will be to the end of the season, all about hearts and minds. Here is a great opportunity to put down a marker to the other teams around us. Win tonight and a point on Saturday would be a huge lift for everyone.....as per the song....search for the hero inside yourself....
pretty big gulf in class in the line ups on paper, don't really see us getting the result that we need tonight but you never know stranger things have happened.
