It is but I reckon O'Leary wants to win every race if possible. Nice animal too but as I posted elsewhere I reckon the home team may be stronger in this in 2018 for a change!
Thanks - had been tipping away at hollographic so will probably do Acey Milan but the gigginstown horse is nice e/w odds now
Jacobs retainer only covers the English trained horses. Any trained in the Emerald Isle can use their trainers preference. Ruby will be on Footpad!
County Handicap Hurdle Hunters Call 9/1 has not run since the end of last year when he won a Grade 3 with authority in Ascot. O. Murphy has not wanted the horse to run more to protect his mark. He has 21 horses ahead but if he comes in here he will do it with a very light weight, 10-7, and I think he has a good chance. He has a mark of 137 and last year the lowest mark of the race was 134.
Didtheyleaveyouout Good Boy Bobby my two against the field. So their retained rider now has to sit on his hands? Or will Jacob pick up a spare from Willie? I can’t see it myself but good news for FP backers if that is the case
That should not be the case...'re the earlier post on Samcro no chance he is going supreme...similar scenario to this is why does faugheen still have an entry in the stayers hurdle? Anyone seriously think the horse is any chance of going that route?
Just seen earlier posts...what a ****y agreement if that is the case.....as retained rider Jacob should step in in the absence of any English entries and Walsh should step aside...
Or.....you thank your lucky stars you’re getting Ruby on instead of Jacob, whose a fine jockey in his own right but **** me you don’t kick the GOAT jockey round Cheltenham. Anybody would want Ruby on, Munirs dam lucky to have him up! It’s a bit like hire leasing a Ford Focus and getting a replacement BMW when it’s in for a service
No Drever But I have included Footpad in a few bets at Christmas when it looked like Petit might not make it so happy enough either way. It’s between the two anyway, can see the pair miles clear in this.
Yeah I don't disagree but if I was the retained rider for munir and souede I d be expecting to be on footpad. Mullins shouldn't have some sort of exclusivity agreement to do what he wants especially if other Irish trainers have to comply. i know he loves to play the ridiculous multiple entries game...i m sure he would have entered yorkhill in the mares if he could but ..i ask you Beefy as your in on the Irish scene...what's the reason faugheen s still got an entry in the stayers hurdle?
Dry day for Cheltenham today but plenty of rain forecast could see ‘Heavy’ in the going description by the weekend according to the RP. BBC weather app suggests rain for Saturday, Sunday and Monday - c’mon Gordon, let Samcro take his chance in the Supreme and Apple’s Jade in the Champ Hurdle Going to be a twitchy few days fellas
I'm at the racing breaks preview in London tonight. Will post anything interesting later on. Fitzgerald and Johnson.
Couple of points of interest: Brian Hughes confirmed last night at one of the preview evenings that waiting patiently won't be running at the festival and will go to Aintree. The last time gold cup day had soft in the going description the winner of the gold cup had previously won the Hennessy. (Native River and Denman)
