1. Too early to score
2. This will fire Utd up for sat if they get any negative result.
3. We have got to goto Palace and a good result will fill them with confidence

 

we need utd and palace too be fired up when we play them both, that way they will attack us giving us chances to score. If utd win tonight mourinho will ensure they do not lose against us.

Utd and a lot of their fans have been paving the way for this for a while with their "no difference between 2nd and 4th" spiel.
Tbf, some of our own think this also, I believe we want to be as high as possible.
Up the table, that is.

 

Not trying is cheating the matchgoing fans, the players might be millionaires but the vast majority of the paying public aren't.

 

It's a measure of how far off you are surely... jacking it in with games to go because you are safe (4th etc) tells You nothing .... obviously coaches will use more than that but it's got to be a useful indicator.

If it's a choice between a final and league match same week or similar and you've a lot of injuries, fair enough.... but to be a top 6 side and not have a squad to cope...why bother at all?
