That was an awful game - I'm not sure why I watched it, tbh.
At least the highlights won't take long on MotD.

Very poor game, it's a good job Brighton beat Arsenal or MOTD would be a disaster

Just means being sensible in the last few games. No need to bust our guts. A 4th is as good as a 2nd. We need to focus on the CL to get as far as we can. Who knows where that could lead us?

Conte's Italian league style was not only a failure today, with all the talent Chelsea have, it was the worst game I've seen this season by a stretch.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea have lost 4 out of their last 5 games. They're doing their best to make it easy for the rest of us.

i'm the biggest critic of hazard but its really not his fault. It's contes setup in this match. He drilled his team to cut out the passing lanes so it meant our players weren't pressing city until they reached a certain area of the field. If he was playing for the draw and hoping to nick it then it was working as we kept City out.

However once we went 1 down it was embarassing that he didn't bother changing the system and we basically gave up. Its the sort of tactic that a small club would employ to not get battered. Very disappointing from Conte that he didn't bother giving it a go afterwards as you watch our players stand off.

You can't expect Hazard to be chasing it alone against 2 defenders and 2 dms. I don't blame him for walking rather than watch them pass it about between them. If the rest of the team were pressing then sure he deserves castigating.

Thing is next season you'll probably win the league again :cheesy:.

Seems that your club management need a poor season to shake things up. You have lulls and then come out strong the next year.

The Chelsea performance was a disgrace. If Neville doesn’t say it, then someone needs to say it. As bad as the Arsenal game or the Newcastle v City for which Rafa was pilloried. Here was a team chasing points to get into CL, a prize worth more than the title itself for Chelsea. Once they were behind, surely any other manager would have gone on the attack to retrieve at least the point (which he came for). No he just kept defending and the clear symbolic gesture of bringing in a striker with 2 minutes to go may tell us a lot about his motives.

One of the worst matches between 2 so called top 6 clubs ever.

What are Conte’s motives? Has he already given up on his club?
