Actually, couldn't be a worse time could there ? We blew it against Barca, got mugged by Utd, who we should have rolled, and done over by a linesman in the same game, and now take on City who have wiped the floor with Arsenal twice in a couple of days.
On the bright side, (really) we are playing better than we have for weeks and I expect we will win lose or draw only after dying for the shirt.
Here's my 2 bobs worth for Team selection.

Courtois He really needs to show his worth against top opposition, because he hasn't for months. Willy has been better.
Dave but has to rediscover his attack
Luiz if fit we need him to inject some spark from the back. Christensen needs to start on the bench and get some fight back. If not fit then Christensen
Rudiger big improvement over Cahill last 3 matches.
Moses, Please learn how and when to pass and cross !!!!!
Alonso no brainer until new bloke gets a few easier games to settle in
    Willian (1st one picked)
Hazard must play full 90 mins.
Giroud No more nancy boys flopping all over the pitch
    Kante 2nd one picked
Ampadu if fit, better than everyone else with Fabregas to cameo last 30 mins.(or 1st 45)

    Over to you.

Don't agree with much of this mate, I think it's a good time to play City. Also we didn't blow it against Barca, we were unlucky to have hit two posts and make one defensive error. Any other day we would have won that 3-0/3-1. Again with United we were unlucky in hitting the bar early on and having another good goal disallowed. We are playing better but are not getting the luck right now.

    Courtois
    Dave
    Christensen
    Ruddier
    Moses
    Alonso
    Willian
    Hazard
    Giroud
    Kante
    Fabregas/Drinkwater

A point would be a great confidence booster.City need to be attacked, not sure we'll go there with
    that in mind.At some point I'd like to see a 3 5 2 start.

We have nothing to lose. Unfortunately City also have nothing to lose.

This could be a good match but cannot see Tony doing the right thing.

And for you that would be shooting Fab & Alonso then resigning.

We are due some good luck for sure, but we let in a soft goal for Barca and an even softer 2nd for Utd. Both games were ours for the taking but somehow we couldn't win either. Unlucky for sure but with a dash of poor play. City look more dangerous and ruthless than either Barca or United, both of which we had the measure of and then some.
Even so I think we will put it to City and they will need to be at their absolute best to beat us.Good luck to all our players, I think they will do us proud.

Apart from the fact you still have a very good chance of a top 4 place?

You catching City is more likely than we making 4th with Tony in there.

Great idea Stan, lets sack the manager and demote two of our best players Whilst we have a great chance of an FA Cup shot & a top four spot. <doh>

What can you do Ginger?? Even trying to end the stupid posts from Stan and suggest a more sensible approach seems to get nowhere. God help us if Fabregas and Alonso have bad games against City !!!!!

Very true, we need to be at the level we were against Barca or better but the one thing in our favour is that City have all but won it all ready and hopefully they won't be mentally up for a scrap.

Just come in a say that Man City is reaping the rewards of a long term plan started with their huge cash injection and the team is sublime, and just as when he was at Barca, Pep is one of football most genial and likeable guys. Yes he has never had to build success with rusty tools it is true, yet he does what he is paid to do in the best of ways.

No I haven't defected, but I've never aimed my footie vitriol at teams or harboured rivalries, rather reserved it for individuals in the game who quite frankly everyone else would agree with me would deserve it.......except for dirty L*%ds as the exception to prove the rule.

A win at City for us would be a huge boost as lets face it they are the better team and the pressure should be on them.
