The News tonight reported that Cotterill is '99.9% certain' he'll get a deal done for a new signing in time for them to play on Saturday! No names mentioned, but apparently he's a youngster who may be considered a 'bit of a risk'. News journalists are also on the ol' twitter tonight saying it may be a Hungarian lad we have on trial (again no names), and that Cotts is also looking to get a loan deal done in time for Sat as well! Good times, PUP.
Must admit so far I've liked all Cotts signings, especially the returning hero, but maybe that's just me being sentimental.
I think he's done really well. Kept Huseklepp, who looks quality, quiet. Got Pearce, another cracking player, on the cheap. Halford back on the cheap, Hendo on a free, Benji coming back is great, Varney pretty cheap, Norris on a free... All really, really good IMO.
I like his signings too. If we forget what them down the road are doing and concentrate on ourselves we could have a decent season and maybe surprise a few people.
He seems to have a good eye for a player. Eric The Viking is one example. The fact he gave Ryan Williams a first team outing at 17 is also pretty positive.
