Roads are fine here for what it's worth. Just a load of slush.

We can beat this ****. Charlie Adam's mob/Shawcross' mafia ain't got nothing bar Shaqiri. Their fans will be ****ting it more than us

Walking into town to retrieve my car that I abandoned trying to get home from work on Thursday. Roads are fine in Southampton now! Pavements are still a bit slippery though.

I know at home to Stoke we shouldn't really need three CMs, but I'm not wholly against us sticking Romeu out there purely to do a man-marking job on Shaqiri, with Lemina and PEH as the defacto CMs.

It would though mean having to not play JWP, unfortunately. We're still the home team, we still need to win, we're still 'only' playing Stoke. So I'd be looking for a very positive, creative, on-the-front-foot front three, if we went down the above route. Yes Cedric and Bertrand can get forward, yes Lemina and PEH have the legs to get up and down the pitch too. But it would mainly be about those three, and JWP doesn't have the speed or danger to play in that role.

As part of our four, I'm all thumbs up for JWP to slot in on the right of that. But not as part of a three.

Any STH who doesn't attend today will get credit on their account which can be used for next years season ticket.

Made it. Easy drive from Bournemouth - the roads are really quiet. Managed to park in St Mary’s Church, it is only ¼ open but I’m so stupidly early I got nearly the last space. Slushy walk to pub, now sitting with a nice coffee waiting for my burger #LivingTheDream

Always more nervous as the game approaches....and confidence slipping away. I really can't see why a team of players like ours can't win a game, but somehow they manage it. :( I honestly see us staying up, but if we lose today it will almost seem preordained. If we ever called in all the luck we've missed out on this season, we'd win all the remaining games 3-0.

Chilcompton Co-op update: despite all roads being clear, still no fresh food deliveries (milk, bread, fruit, veg) expected until Monday. Yes folks, rural Somerset is still in the 1950’s!

Would anyone consider playing Pied instead of Cedric due to height defensively and his lack of ability to cross?

Feeling more confident about the game now I am here. I am a terrible armchair fan.

That and the easy drive, nice burger and hassle free walk (my snail pace mate couldn’t make it) make me believe that nothing can go wrong today.

I’ll probably feel differently once the whistle goes and the caffeine rush has worn off....
