    I think on here were are much more cautious... even a little pessimistic.....

    I thought we had under soil heating to prevent frost and the like from stopping games.

    Coming up from Brighton today, so just wondering if anyone can advise what the roads are like through mill end and the the approaches to the west end of vicarage road.
    Any advice gratefully received

    My dad in Mill End says the snow is melting there and traffic is moving normally - but is very light.

    Not been to Mill End in many a year.. My dad had a carpet shop on money hill parade (I think it was called that)

    If it was on the corner of Money Hill Road and the main Uxbridge Road then I suspect my Dad still has your Dad's carpets in his house. ( I am sure he only changes them every 50 years!).

    We moved to Long Lane in Rickmansworth in 1961 so I am sure we will have visited the shop. Come to think of it I seem to remember an odd looking little boy sitting at the back of the shop practicing saying things like trubble at t'Mill (End), keep off the graaaaas and so on. :)
