Had to go out for a while earlier this afternoon to check mother's house, no chance of driving so togged up like an Artic explorer, snow in places about a foot deep due to drifting in the wind, certainly need sturdy walking boots and waterproof clothing........ Looking at latest live forecast, Emma is still in the Bay of Biscay and is expected to hit the Country around 21:00 hours tonight depositing around 5 or 6 cms of snow per hour as it passes through....... Time for the hot toddies........
Drifting up to four inches in my garden! Had to send a rescue party for the dog. Seriously, the wind is a bastard, cuts right through you.
Right Lads & Lassies over and out, hopefully see you on the other side of Storm Emma tomorrow, batten down the hatches....... Don't forget send cake and Whiskey.....
Reading is covered now and the roads are not in a very good state. I have done my panic buying of essentials like London Pride
And there was me concerned when Hurricane Gita hit NZ - you can just **** off now with your sunshiney pictures
Someone needs to put the lottery on tonight..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-scotland-43239989/near-miss-as-bus-swerves-to-avoid-car-in-edinburgh Apparently the driver of the bus was a woman - hats off lass
Both the beast from the east and storm Emma are clearly the fault of Jake Bidwell with a lot of help from our very own Col
