The beast has woken up with a roar up here today.... Can't remember snow this bad - country at a standstill. Red warning fully in force, my car is about 18 inches deep in a drift so no work for me - which is **** as a contractor!
Yep woke up to blizzard conditions this morning and it's going to get worse, whole country on status Red warning....... Met Eireann's latest forecast.... Today Scattered heavy snow showers and widespread ice and lying snow today. During the afternoon and evening blizzard conditions will develop across Munster and Leinster as heavy snow together with driving easterly winds spread northwards to all areas through the rest of the day. Temperatures will remain below freezing for the day. Strong to gale force easterly winds will bring the risk of coastal flooding along southern and eastern coasts. Tonight Blizzards will continue tonight. Severe thunderstorms could affect large areas of Munster and coastal areas of Leinster. Temperatures will be as low as minus 4 degrees and there'll be strong to gale force northeast winds. please log in to view this image Tomorrow Tomorrow, Friday, there'll be further snow falls. The snow will clear from the north for a time, and later will turn to rain on the south coast but extensive disruption is expected to continue for much of the country. The strong northeast to north winds will continue with storm force winds off the south coast bringing the risk of coastal flooding there. The risk of thunder continues in the south, particularly in the morning.
Snow gone here and will be 19 again by weekend. Wonderful rain instead Had four people I know all travelling from U.K. all saying the same thing England can no longer cope with the slightest drama in any form. And to think there is a country to rebuild post Brexit ... sorry but some real adjustments required there imo Saw there was a massive data surge in the U.K. yesterday as people spend more time talking about events than doing anything about it. This post of course contributes to that data currency. I had 31 texts from friends in the UK asking if I was OK and warm! All told that I had a reading of 32 in my kitchen yesterday evening as it’s once was a forge plus wild boar are easier to kill in the snow Until the next drama ...
Scotland looks under siege but the good thing is their is Scottish people there so they will easily cope. They are Scots real people Don’t catch the English disease of fluffing about nothing The French the same no fuss it’s life enjoy it
Red warning now as ‘Storm Emma’ enters the arena. You get run by Bracknell you get run by Bracknell nananana
Not at all but it must make everyone at least wonder what happens to England when it shuts down because of snow. The brilliant logistical system run by the brilliant logistical management in the British way have shown the system doesn’t work and it’s all snowballs into a mess it seems People can’t get KFC The delusion that people get on with it is a fable in the U.K. generally they don’t and everything stops. Based on that imo it doesn’t marry up to a united front post Brexit Add to that the natural divide of 52/48 then it looks a serious point
Just for you, we went out build one, but the snow is too soft to stick together! sound like British Rail.....
Latest update from here, it's been snowing since the early hours of the morning and our light covering of snow from yesterday has increased to somewhere between 6 and 9 inches (old money for Durbar), difficult to tell true depth as the wind is beginning to drift the snow, however this is just the start as things are due to deteriorate later on today and overnight when Storm Emma sweeps in. Anyone venturing out may be sometime....... Please send food parcels with cake and whiskey........
