Oliver's last winner was in 1995. Coulton in the 'Cathcart Challenge Cup'. The race incidentally was discontinued in 2004. Was something on a 'niche' heat in that it was only for first and second-season chasers.

I was just looking at the contenders for the supreme novices and Ifthecapfits must have a cracking chance in this. The form of his races his races this season have worked out very well indeed.Should be fav in my book so 7/1 is a decent price.
Will be interesting to see how many swere the Ballymore to go to the Supreme. Seems to have a lack of depth in it. Duc Des Genievres looks the each way play for me. Ran on well from off the pace in the Deloitte which was off a reasonably slow gallop.
Interesting stat from racing post, Twelve of the last 17 winners of the Ultima Business Solutions Handicap came from the first four in the betting, while 11 of the last 13 winners of the Close Brothers Novices’ Handicap Chase were sent off at 12-1 or shorte
Amazing that I started this thread on the 20th of March last year I’ve spent approx £300 on my antepost betting this year and it’s something I’ve never been too heavily involved in having been stung in the past. Thought I would try something different and put together very small accas throughout the year - high risk, high reward strategy (or just stupid?!) I’ve learned from this last year that it truly is a minefield with Red Jack performing below expectations, the tragic death of Neon Wolf, me thinking Finians Oscar is an Arkle horse and the injury to Death Duty wiping out around 70% of all accas. I have cherry picked the bets still standing that have a reasonable chance and posted below for your amusement...
