Nope. They are waiting for the parachute, they care as little about you not going, as they do us actually going and shouting at them except they are a little bothered about tomorrow's chip paper. But I haven't broke my habit of 35 years
They epitomise how thoroughly ****e modern day football is. Too many bi-polar soccer AM watching armchair experts these days. You look through that thread and can't help but think most of those in that thread are school age who spend most their time on Facebook groups posting 'bantz' and whether Ronaldo or Messi has done the best 'tekkers' this weekend. Our club is full of the ****s as well.
It's every club. And these are the people that football is geared towards these days. No longer a game. Now just some form of theatre production.
They refused to meet the fans based purely on what they see as nasty things posted on the internet. Twice this week, they considered not selling tickets to home fans based on those nasty things.
the numbers for and against the Allams are not similar - 12000 have ****ed off because of the Allams and of the remaining 10k (3k is the away seating) maybe a maximum of 1k are for them - they tend to be sit down shut ups, care in the community, the sychophantic types who need to doff their caps to the local squire mentality and the very selfish who couldn't give a **** about what the Allams have done because it doesn't affect them
And you continue pretending to be a City fan who doesn't even go. Did you boycott Lloyd, Fish and Needler too, if so then you spend more time on your boycott than going.
I’m pretty sure most, of not all of us, including yours truly, said the ‘nasty things said’ line was an excuse trotted out for cancelling the meeting. Interesting that it’s now legit.
No I never boycotted until the first home game of the 2014 season. None of those owners tried to change the club’s name, you see. So you’re saying the missing 8k or so aren’t City fans, despite many of them being the only ones there at the very darkest times?
It’s interesting that you mention protesting against Fish, as I’m in the below photo taken at Plainmoor more than 20 years ago. But I’m not a fan.
I'm sure those who wanted a bigger visual impact (pitch invasion) are disappointed about last night however the protests are working and that pair of twats are getting more and more bad press. If anyone thinks the situation would be just the same without the protests are mistaken. Anyone who thinks it isn't worth protesting are wrong. They will leave when they are ready (made a profit on their 'gift'), but lying back (or bending over isn't an option). ****ing hell do we have some sycophants at our club. It is nice seeing that pair of twats outed. Well done to the protesters, especially the guys with the ALLAM OUT banner. I wish the protests were more coordinated to make a bigger impact but you can't have everything. Wonder if he will cancel the meeting scheduled for Monday because he is upset.
He could hardly have used that as his excuse had he not seen it. He’s definitely rattled, expect some sort of movement at Monday’s meeting.
It will obviously be as little as he thinks he can get away with and I expect it to relate to the use of the name, rather than any movement on concessions.
He was asked a question about the protests. What did you expect him to say? The owners are making a huge mess of this, and I'm walking before they sack me for being critical? He has to be a diplomat, unlike anyone on here. I enjoyed his interview and it made me feel more positive about things - not a common experience recently. But sorry to be positive, I know that's not a popular view.
