There comes a point where an argument becomes so warped that people are arguing about a point that they actually agree on.

I don't know what happened that day, I'm just glad Bobby isn't going to be suspended. #selfish

 

Discuss, some wish to argue

 

An argument is a tool to solve a conflict between two opinions or conflicting evidence, it does not have a negative connotation. Technically speaking

 

One's attitude when arguing can have a negative connotation if they are angry or aggressive.

 

That doesn't happen on these forums though, we're all way to civilised.

 

I tend to believe that people's anger on here, comes from outside of the forum

 

The forum provides a service, an opportunity to vent. People walk away from their device feeling better safe in the knowledge that the world is now a better place.

I learned a neat trick years ago, when I feel anger I ask myself a question "is this worth actually being angry over or am I being a clown"

it's amazing how well it works

 

Or, exchange of diverging or opposite views, typically a heated or angry one

 

True, but the anger is baggage, separate from the argument
