He needs to take the next step this season and that is to win a major trophy. League or Champions League. There is no reason why he cant. Individually you have the best squad in the league. It will be Mancini's job to make them a collective unit and if he does that then City will be a real force. I think MOST City fans reckon they can win something big this season and I think if they don't he MAY be sacked. There needs to be an improvement from last season.
Man City have to be title contenders towards the buisness end of the season, or failing that serious Champions league contenders (last four or better) otherwise this season should be considered a failure for them
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I don't recall United being handed millions to make their job easier. City have already spent the most money in the history of English football near enough. Besides we are talking about City why are you getting defensive? Ferguson's done it hasn't he?
That doesn't equate, and you know it. Mancini has spent a truckload, and if he doesn't bring in the success quick he'll be out quick-sharp. Think Chelsea.
Man City surely have the best squad ever seen at club level. The Premiership is Man Uniteds to lose, which I think they may do by a point or two (can't win 'owt with kids, right?!). Mancini is a good manager who has handled the prima donnas well and should improve on last season. I can see them coming close to winning the league (if not actually doing it) and also doing ok in the Champions League... however, inexperience may end that campaign at the quarter final stage. All in all, with a good start to the season, the quality of the squad should set them up for a good season.
So having this money thrown at you for all these years hasn't helped you buy top players to keep you at the top therefore making more money to keep the cycle going?
I think Man City have the best squad in the premiership at the minute in regards to quality and depth. Barcelona and Madrid have better squads than them though.
Thrown at us? Don't be ridiculous. If United hadn't of continuously made it to the knockout stages of the CL they wouldn't have gotten it. Ferguson's United were not in the CL when he took over, and they certainly weren't getting any handouts when he joined the club. United earned their money. Mancini has been given a endless pit of cash to play about with, without him or City doing anything to merit it. It's incomparable, but your selective views won't concur with this, clearly.
So are you telling me that the tens of millions you have been gifted since first getting into the CL has not helped you stay at the top and keep the cycle going.
man your arguments are getting rediculous. It takes time to build a team, you buy in, cut off the chaff and streghten again then cut off more chaff and again, sure it is exactly what fergie does. City are playing a different game in modern transfer markets with fancy pants owners, I am fairly certain htat is the glaziers had that sort of cash to spread arond, they would be doing just htat and if fergie was in similar circumstances today he would gladly accept that cash.
It may have done, but recently, I thought United were skint and couldn't afford to bring in world class players? They sure as hell haven't paid as much for an individual as City have. Anyway, I'm digressing. Mancini will need to produce the goods, and fast. Or he'll be sacked. These big money investors are a fickle bunch. If you're in denial of this, then more fool you.
There is only one answer to the question unfortunately for you its yes and that is why you will not answer.
