A double change for Bolton, as Wilbraham and Clough are replaced by Le Fondre and Osede. Bolton have produced a really stubborn resistance in the second period and Sunderland are having a hard time carving out clear-cut opportunities, but changes could be coming with Williams, McManaman and Maja warming up...

I agree totally about the Burton Barnsley game. Far better that Burton win than Barnsley. Sensibly speaking far better result in the grand scheme. Looks worse because of our league position

A draw would be perfect though. 1-2 currently.

Substitution, Sunderland. Josh Maja replaces Jake Clarke-Salter.

    WHAT. A. SAVE.

Lee Camp has just produced an absolute worldie to deny Le Fondre and ensure Sunderland remain in this game! The stopper dove low to his left to palm the striker's header wide, but the danger wasn't over there and Karacan's follow-up rattled the crossbar.

Another bag of ****e, another last 10 mins of pathetic attacking, the Boro will turn us over as well on Saturday the bogey team but I will not be there thankfully, what a frigging shambles and laughing stock this club is, due to 2 of the last 3 owners in our history, Ashley could not have done a worse job. Get Borini for christs sake.

Poor team selection tonight. This game was winnable, but we never looked like doing it. Nobody can blame the home crowd for this one, and still all is not lost yet. Nil Desperandum.

Little has changed really, just one game less for our team to pull themselves together before the trap door opens. They can do it, but are they up to it? We will see <ok>
